Instead of thinking we beat slumping teams, I'd like to think that we just beat them so bad that it carried over to their next games.

Toronto's a top notch team in the East, and in the entire NBA. I believe, though I could be wrong, that Toronto is top-10 in both offense and defense. We're perhaps not there now, but we're approaching that same level. I think it's still a very good win.

Agreed Cam but it's probably fair to say a bit of the luster is off that win but man getting a win on Lebron who is the best player in the league still feels pretty good. The Raptors are playing very good ball. So are the Wolves.

I know I'm far-too-optimistic all the time...

... but I don't think any luster is off the Cavs win. And the business-like manner the team beat OKC was impressive, too.

Wins are wins. Keep piling them up. Who knows how long Leonard is out... keep going.

Abe - I've come to count on you as our resident curmudgeon. This recent stream of positivity from you has been very unsettling. :)

That's all I was saying. But even Abe doesn't see any less luster. That makes me think I went too far. :) The main thing is to not let up against the Knicks tonight.

I get overly optimistic about the Wolves about every 14 or 15 years.

It didn't end well the first two go-arounds...

Nice season debut for Zach LaVine tonight. He had 14 points in 19 minutes tonight, shooting 5-9 from the field and 3-4 from behind the arc. Way to go Zach! Kris Dunn had 18 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks tonight. Markkenan had another nice game as well. I'm still happy we have Butler, but I said at the time we made the deal that I didn't think the Bulls got fleeced. I just wish we had ended up with John Collins, Jordan Bell or Kyle Kuzma with the pick we received as part of the deal.

Spurs won handily tonight. It's amazing how they've put themselves in the 3rd spot in the West primarily without Leonard. He was back in the lineup tonight and the Spurs won going away. If Leonard stays healthy the rest of the way, it will be hard for the Wolves to overtake them for the 3rd seed. Pop is an amazing coach.

Nice debut for Lavine. I just watched a couple highlights he looked good. I will have to check out some more of that game tomorrow. It's just the first game but if he plays well...dude is gonna get paid and I always thought he would.

I just watched the Bulls Pistons game with Lavine's debut. Lavine looked as good as the stats indicate. There was a couple plays that showed some rust but in general he looked really good for a first game back. Interestingly in the 2nd half they had him playing PG including the start of the 2nd half with Dunn on the floor.

Both Dunn and Markkanen had nice games. If you are a Bulls fan you have some reason to feel good about your team going forward.

Mirotic is absolutely ballin. It's almost a shame for the Bulls that it makes sense to deal him. I doubt they end up with a player that good in the deal. I know this season for him is kind of a small sample but my goodness 16-6 in just 22 minutes.
