Um LaVine is gonna get hyped for his dunks so you better get used to it. I've got a little tired over the years of the excitment over fancy dunks or whatever because it seemed it was for show and honestly it seemed like there was nothing new. After watching SL LaVine clearly has more skill that just athletic dunker so I'm not too concerned. In addition like its been said these videos are at a trading card photo shot they are supposed to be having some fun.

Also I think sometimes there are players that you can't totally reign them in on them having fun with the game or you kinda lose some of what makes them good. Love actually had a bit of a goofy side (his FT line routine is an example) and the guy obviously puts in the work and the results speak for themselves. Flip said LaVine was a gym rat so that's a good sign. Hopefully he is working on the right things and that just doesn't mean stuff other than dunks. This is a bad comparison because he had other issues but I think MCants worked very hard on his game it just seemed like he worked on some of the wrong skills which kept him from being a better player. Hopefully Flip is able to mold these young guys.

I think I liked this interaction more than the highlight reel dunks.

One of the things that surprised me in summer league was the amount of communication and directing of teammates on the court. I was not expecting those type of leadership skills from LaVine to show so early.

Despite WW's reservations, the swing Flip took with his bat has a real good feel to it!

Funny how Love was an asshole for not talking to Lavine, but Lebron gets a pass for Wiggins. LOVE BIAS!!

There are some differences here. First, Love and LaVine are both UCLA alumni, and alumni usually look out for each other. Secondly, LeBron probably didn't reach out to Wiggins because he assumed they would never be teammates, because he assumed that Wiggins was being dealt. Love didn't reach out to LaVine because he had quit on his team and didn't consider himself a T-Wolf anymore.

Vastly different situations. And yes, Love is an asshole...LeBron is not.

It actually sounds like very similar situations. Both guys figured they wouldn't be playing on the same team at the start of the season. I never considered Love an asshole for that. Just thought it showed his thought process and intentions moving forward.

I consider Love an asshole for making it sound like he was giving the wolves the three years of his deal to make the PO's and show that they would be a competitive team, only to let Flip go all in last season, and then tell him he is planning on bolting at seasons end.

you just said the exact same situations, yet worded them different for your Love bias. Beautifully done

Flip went all in? Like he made moves he wouldn't of otherwised made that have hurt the team going foward? Which ways did Flip do this?

I hear your point, sjm. I don't know that anyone called Love an asshole for not reaching out to LaVine...I just thought it was surprising that he didn't reach out to a fellow Bruin that was coming into the league and joining a team for which he also was under contract. I think it was more telling than prickish. just like it was telling that LeBron didn't seem to consider Wiggins a teammate.

And I agree with you about the actions that really define Love as a dink.

He signed Martin to a 4 year deal, and Bud and Brewer to 3 year deals, using all of our cap space in the process.

So he would of saved our cap space for this year for what? Who could of we got this year for better deals with that cap space?
