Excellent win here are some thoughts.

Nowell needs to let the game come to him. Last game he got things going right away but this game not much happened and then he started forcing things. If he can learn to pick his spots he could be a nice player. It's weird to say that because before this season he was more of a slowmo type guy that played at his speed than a jackrabbit that drank 3 cups of expresso.

Naz did what we need from him get buckets.

Man it was great to see Towns out there and he was overall pretty good offensively. Defense...I don't really care about that too much let's just get wins and figure this all out.

After that game I was like shouldn't teams have at least 2 challenges? Lol yikes

What about Finch running the Super big 5?
Slo MO at point (ok, been done before)
McDaniels at the 2!
Naz at SMALL forward
KAT at the 4
Gobert in the middle

That's a lot of wingspan!!!

Wait? Which team got the benefit of the whistle? The only story about officials from this game is that the Wolves were gifted one bc Prince wasn't called for a foul at the very end.

Also, Jaden McDaniels has shown considerable growth this season, but the Scottie Pippen comparisons are still way off to me. Setting expectations for McDaniels that I don't think he'll ever come close to reaching.

Pippen was a tremendous rebounder and playmaker from the wing on top of being his team's secondary scorer and priority defender. McDaniels is certainly the latter as a legitimate All-Defensive Team candidate, but he hasn't proven to be much more than a floor spacer through three seasons. There's some natural scoring and passing abilities that occasionally shine, but it's not in his game consistently enough to garner mentions of Pippen. Mind you, Pippen was also an All-Star at 24. Is that McDaniels' future in a year or two? I don't see it.

I still think we're looking at a Mikal Bridges, Jerami Grant, Andrei Kirilenko combination at forward, which is plenty valuable enough. Pippen talk is far-fetched.

Are we talking the Nets version of Mikal Bridges or the Phoenix version? Sign me up for either, but definitely sign me up for the Brooklyn version.

As a Bulls fan who grew up in Chicago back in the day, I think you're right. I do see some similarities - mainly their length and defense. Pippen was a point guard who had a late growth spurt. So he came into the League as a skilled ball-handler and playmaker. I suspect Jaden won't develop those skills to the level of Pippen. And unfortunately so far, Jaden hasn't shown anything close to Pippen's elite rebounding.

But I'm impressed with Jaden's improved handle and shooting. There are times when he looks like Scottie driving to the basket. And he certainly looks like Scottie on the defensive end. I see Jaden being much better than Jerami Grant. Mikal Bridges is a good comparison. We'll see if Jaden can become Scottie Pippen. I say: never say never. I wouldn't be surprised to see Jaden become an all-star in two years.

Yeah, we don't know if Jaden will ever approach Scottie...it's a high bar. But we can all agree Jay-Dee's stats at 22 are far superior to pippens at that age. They are different players in my estimation. Jaden is a much better 3- point shooter, and pippen was a much better facilitator and rebounder. We need to find a better comp for Jaden, because the only similarity I see in their games is elite defense.

One area where Jaden will never approach Scottie is sexual proficiency...mrs pippen reports they had sex 4 times a night EVERY night for 23 years until their divorce. I hope mrs pippen is getting more sleep these days.

Being Pippenesque doesn't mean you have to become a top 50 player of all time, or ascend to the same heights as Scottie. I don't believe anyone has said he will match Pippen's accomplishments. I know I haven't. But for a guy picked at the end of the first round, we got an absolute steal who has some elements of Scottie's athleticism and game. We should be thrilled about it instead of trying to poke holes in his abilities.
