I'm not sure Rubio or Beasley will be on the roster next training camp, as it seems like Rosas is determined to go find a starting-caliber PF and these two along with one of our younger players/prospects may give him the ammunition he needs to go make a big trade.
I agree, Q. I'm convinced that Beasley won't be here next season. I still think Rosas will end up trading for Collins in a sign-and-trade deal. Beasley will be the key to that deal. Apparently, Atlanta was insisting on getting a future 1st. We'll see what develops. I wouldn't give up Beasley AND a top 3 pick for Collins. Nor would I include Ant or McDaniels and I'd be highly reluctant to part with Okogie or Naz Reid along with Beasley. I wish Culver had more value. Atlanta's in a spot where, short of a sign-and-trade, they'll likely lose Collins for nothing. So Rosas needs to be careful about overpaying. If up to me, I'd offer DLO and Culver. But the more realistic offer from the perspective of Rosas would be Beasley and Culver.
I would want to include Culver party to save salary cap space. Culver actually might fit will there as they have a few shooters there. They are going to want more than basically Beasley for Collins and I think that's perfectly reasonable. What I would be willing to add to that would depend on what kind of contract Collins ends up signing for.
Culver is a negative asset right now.
A guard who can't get run on what's been the worst team in basketball over the past two seasons. Why would the Hawks pay Culver $6.4M for that?
He's about to become the rare breed of rookie who isn't extended. So Atlanta would be giving up the best player for two lesser players, one coming off legal issues and who might not start and another who wouldn't even play.
Keep in mind that Collins is a free agent who wants a max deal and so far Atlanta doesn't appear interested in giving him a max deal. That means they can lose him for nothing to a team willing to sign him to a max deal as a FA. Getting Beasley and Culver would be a lot more than nothing. Beasley's actually a very good player who is still young with more upside. Culver has talent and was generally thought of as a top 6 pick in the draft two years ago. He's also, by all accounts, a hard worker and good guy. He has a lot less value than he had then, but his value isn't negative.

The Wolves have a lot of guys that can play over Culver so...of course I think the Hawks have a lot of guys too so... Honestly Abe might be right Culver might have negative value. Lets be honest whoever has him on the roster is going to have to believe in him quite a bit to pick up that 4th year option for over 8 million. So really if Atlanta traded for him it's sort of a 1 year trial period with no certainty of Culver coming back after 1 year. So yeah...Culver bringing back ANYTHING in a trade with he considered a positive and Again I think he MIGHT still be a moderately valuable layer in this league still in the right situation.
So yeah the Wolves are gonna have to sweeten the pot more than just Beasley and some salary matching (Culver would be an expiring after next season). The last I heard (haven't been reading everything) Collins wasn't looking for a Max deal but maybe that wasn't the case.

Here is a 5 minute highlight video of Bolmaro 26 point outburst. It feels like his 3 point shot in particular has looked less stiff as the season has worn on.

"We've got a player we drafted last year who will be coming next year"
-Gersson Rosas gives an update on the Leandro Bolmaro situation.
It sounds like Bolmaro will be a member of the 2021-22 Wolves, barring a trade.

Yup, not too surprised that he's coming over. He's had a solid season this year, but damn, they play so few games and minutes over there that it's really hard to discern how good he can be versus a guy that plays 35 D-1 college games averaging 32 MPG. He's playing 2 minutes one night and then 5 days later may be gets 16 minutes. Then he'll start some random game and then not play any minutes in the next game.

FWIW Bolmaro has already played in 60 games this season and could pile up more depending on how far they go in the current tournament.
Edit: Also it's interesting he is coming over. I'm excited about it relatively speaking. We need more perimeter players and ball handlers on this team...

True, he's played in a lot of games between ACB and Euroleague, but he's averaged barely over 10 MPG. It's just hard to get a beat on a guy like that.
Having said that, Rosas has been pretty damn good so far at sniffing out non-lottery young talent (Reid, McDaniels, Nowell, etc.), so I am definitely intrigued.

This is terrific news. He's somewhat of an unknown because his minutes have been so limited until recently, but he seems to have a great feel for the game for such a young player. I'm really looking forward to seeing how he looks in summer league...this might be the nudge I need to head to Vegas in August.
