Probably doesn't mean anything. He would be a nice veteran presence, but how many years would they give him? He's up there is years and isn't the player he used to be.

2/18 would be a really good get, in my opinion. He'll get better offers, though.

I'd be fine with a two-year MLE deal for Millsap.

Wolfson makes it sound as if the Wolves have made re-signing Hernangomez their main priority... Weird considering he's not really all that great. But then again... Rosas is the smartest guy in the room.

I was about to post a prediction that the smartest guy in the room (aka Village Idiot) would re-sign Juancho rather than sign a player using the MLE. My guess is he'll use most of his remaining $9.7M under the luxury tax threshold to sign Juancho and the rest to re-sign JMac.

That seems likely. So what's Juancho gonna get? I mean it's gotta be at least 5 million since his qualifying offer was what 4.6 million and there is some dumb money thrown around already. I think it would be too much but I could live with like 3 years 16 million. Much more than that for sure yucky yuck. Part of the appeal to me of Juncho was he might be relatively cheap. Rosas didn't overpay last year but he looks to be doing it this offseason.

I just went back a looked and noticed that Juancho's qualifying offer is $4.62M. I wouldn't think any other team will offer more than that, so I would hope the Wolves won't offer anything more than that. Maybe there's a team with some cap space that would offer a future 2nd-round pick for Evans and Spellman. That would shave about $4M off the payroll and allow the Wolves to offer most of the MLE to someone like Millsap without exceeding the salary cap.
Note that the Wolves will need to clear a roster spot just to re-sign Juancho. They'll have to clear three roster spots if they want to sign Juancho, JMac and a MLE guy. Not sure who the third player would be after Evans and Spellman. And I'm still not sure how they can clear any of those salaries without attaching a future pick as inducement for another team to take Evans, Spellman or both.

Guys, Hernangomez is getting MLE money. I'm calling that now. Rosas is rewarding his guys.
Also, Jaylen Nowell could be gone to clear a roster spot.
