Ewwww.

- George, Mann, Jackson and Batum combined to shoot 20 - 28 on three pointers.
- Towns was "meh" in everything he did. Others noted what looked like a lack of energy or indifference. In any event, he's now 1 - 10 fg for 7 points in the past four games in the 4th quarter. YUCK.
- Beverly is the professional leader? He was punked by Luke Kennard last night and looked very amateurish while looking the fool.
- McDaniels offers nothing offensively. I know we like to rip Okogie justifiably, but the Wolves have two players in the same mold out there. Heck, those two make Jarred Vanderbilt look like a legit offensive player... which is really really hard to do.

JO might be the worst 3P shooter in the NBA though.

Ok. But right now, he's scoring as much as McDaniels (3.7 ppg) in about 60% of the minutes.

Remember when he was untouchable in a Simmons trade. McDaniels might not even crack the 76ers rotation

Well, Wolves have one above average starter right now and so that's no surprise. At least McDaniels has defensive tenacity and the length to develop into a good player down the road, but he's still very raw and he's not getting many offensive looks with the sticky offensive the Wolves have. I don't believe the Wolves have any chance to be a contender with the current roster anyway, but McDaniels is someone who can be part of the next rebuild around Ant which will inevitably occur and other than KAT and Ant, he has the best upside potential on the roster.

I don't disagree with this just saying it's funny how he was untouchable by many on this board for an All NBA guy in Simmons

And he's only 4 percentage points worse then DLo on three pointers this year, although in all fairness they both stink. But it was embarrassing to see Zubac playing 10 feet off of JO in the first quarter and the Wolves not able to take advantage of it. I'm in the camp that JO needs to play more than the 11 minutes he played last night (during which he scored 11 points) and needs to let it fly like he did in the second half when they leave him open. I recall Ant's revealing interview a week ago when he said 5-6 times we need to move the ball and get JO more open looks...Ant sees JO in practice making that shot, and we need it to translate into games. Maybe Ant is wrong and doesn't have the smart NBA mind I think he has, but I think we need to give him the benefit of the doubt to see if he is correct. Frankly, we seem to be doing the opposite of everything he asked for in that post gamer...we're not moving the ball, and we're not giving easy looks to anyone other than our Big Three.

I think it's fair to say that if things keep going as they are, he'll be shipped out and the rebuild will be around Ant. May not happen until this offseason or trade deadline, but I can't believe they try to keep this thing together if these guys can't muster more than 32 or 33 wins. Remember, this is the easy part of the schedule!

The Wolves are a KAT trade away from becoming the Summer League Wolves (including Ant and Naz)

Just finished watching the game and haven't read through this thread yet, but I found the game quite entertaining. After seeing the box score and noting the Clips made 58% of their threes, I expected to see what we saw too much last season...a shitload of open corner threes and makes. But what I saw instead is one of the best contested shooting nights I've ever seen. We might have left Batum open a little too often, but I thought the defense on George and Jackson was quite good...they just made shots that nobody could have defended. Jaden JO, PatBev and Ant all played very well on defense.

Some positives in this game:
-we won the rebounding battle handily
-we had 11 steals and forced 20 TOs
-Beasley found his shooting touch...we're going to need that
-Naz needs to regain his 3-point range, but there was no way Hartenstein was going to stop him inside last night.
-Beverley is a punk but he's our punk...love the intensity, and he flirted with a triple double last night.

KAT remains a mystery to me. 18-11-4 is a fine line (under par for him though) but he just didn't seem to want to exert his will...he was strangely invisible to me last night except for his continuing 3-point excellence.

We're about where I thought we would be at 3-4...not good enough after playing perhaps the softest 7 games on our schedule. I wouldn't be surprised to see us beat the Clippers Friday night. I think we all know they aren't going to make 57% of their threes if we play D like we did last night.

I think you are correct in that JO is knocking down shots in practice. Then the game comes, player sags off 10 feet and it gets in his head. He lacks a little confidence, though he did hit a couple.

I think that despite the losing record, the Wolves could and should start hitting 3P's with more regularity. They've had lots of good looks but are simply shooting poorly.

Well, the Sixers will be looking for a lot more than McDaniels for Ben and I while Ben is the proven commodity, the price will probably be too high for my liking. Sure, if Morey is willing to accept DLO and any any player not named KAT, Ant or Jaden plus no more than two picks, I'd pull the trigger. Anything more is not worth the risk as Ben certainly has baggage and its far from guaranteed that Ben puts this team in title contention and he has already shown he's willing to pull out the "mentally not ready to play" card whenever he wants.
