I hope he's taking note. And I include Wiggins a bit in this too since it feels like the intensity level went up another notch since he got "ill". This is now 8 games of solid-to-great defense and that includes the likes of Denver, Portland, and now the Bucks. It wasn't all crap offensive teams.

Possibly, but the Wolves are not playing 2 bigs now and defense has been amazing

While I think the front office is clearly in tank mode, it's good to see the players that don't have a sniffle or sore knee will play their butts off.

Yup. It goes back to the Dirk/Tyson Chandler analogy. Just let KAT be KAT and try to stop pretending that he can anchor a defense. Even if he was dialed in, it would still be tough because he has to avoid foul trouble and use a ton of energy on offense.

Just seems we are heel bent on playing a system to promote learning instead of adapting that system to our best players to promote winning.

I want to say im not dismissing what you are saying. I personally think we should play 2 bigs. Im just saying if KAT can't figure out defense I think teams will still run him in PnR all day. And don't know how he will be guarding the perimeter

I think the best way to view KAT is as a large wing player, not as a "big" because his game doesn't fit the mold. I actually think as a wing player he could be a positive defender, he just sucks as a rim protector. So we need to find a big that compliments KAT. Willie Cauley-Stein, Aron Baynes and Ian Mahinmi will be free agents this offseason and so I'd look at signing one to a one year deal to see if he could be a defensive anchor. Of course, I'd also like try to draft/develop/find a young Bam Adebayo, Rudy Gobert, Embiid or Stephen Adams clone if one is out there to be found.

For fun, I looked at center DRPM and saw Gorgui listed fifth behind Gasol, Embiid, Carter and Jokic and just ahead of Gobert and Adebayo. I'd like to see KAT and Gorgui play together more the rest of the season where their defensive roles are clearly defined and see if it can produce positive results.
