Wiggs has been the talk of the season right so far. Lowe talks about wiggs, dlo, and whether rosas should sell high.

Around the 33 minute mark.

Good stuff.

Yeah, you gotta wonder if Rosas is getting some calls about Wigs and it's completely flipped from "here is what we need to take him off your hands" to "here is what we're willing to offer".

Like Lowe said, I would love to be in that romm when a call is taken.

I have no idea what I would do if that call came in and I was rosas.

I still have plot on wiggins island, but even I dont think he can keep up this pace. The change has been so abrupt and out of left field that is hard to make sense of it. My eyes tell me he looks better, but the 2 years prior has me jaded.

Then I saw this post:

2nd season: 20.7PPG 45.9FG% - 20 years old
3rd season: 23.6PPG 45.2FG% -21 yeas old
4th season: Thibs/Butler
5th season: Thibs/Butler
6th season: 25.9PPG 47.8FG%

If you eliminated the thibs/jimmy years, would this be a more natural progression?

I didn't think I would ever see a thread like this! I was always in the trade Wiggins camp. All these positive comments has me downright giddy.

Keep it up Wigs!

Probably not. I mean that 3rd year was with thibs. He also had a very similar start to the season in his third year as he is having this year and he couldn't sustain it.

Big question is if this is real is this Wiggins good enough to be the 2nd best player on a title contender. And if he isn't what happens to Wiggins if he becomes the 3rd option again like when Jimmy was here.

So is this Wiggins good enough to be a legit #2 option and if not does Wiggins go back to bad habits when he isn't the primary ball handler.

Jimmy and thibs might of stunted his growth a little. I usually blame the player. But Wiggins has been the 3rd option before and it was his worst years as a pro.

But I would rather have this question asked if he can be a #2 guy or what does 3rd wheel Wiggins look like instead of the question how many 1st do we have to give up to offload him?

Yeah, it's a much more complicated story than what CC is trying to project in that Thibs was in charge in Wiggins' 3rd season and he was no better or no worse than his 2nd season. Then when Ryan took over last year and Butler was traded, Wiggins didn't step up at all. If this was all a pure Thibs/Butler problem, you would have thought Wiggins would have blossomed upon their exits.

Whatever changes Wiggins made this offseason to work on his game has to be scrutinized, as I think it is here that you will find the reason why he's made a leap this year. And yes, along with a better scheme, more positive work environment, motivation from not being named a top 100 player etc., etc.

Any discussion about Wiggins improvement has to include the contributions of Vanterpool. The guy is a guard whisperer.

Watching him be in wiggs ear every break and with how cj has started out the year, its going to really suck for us when hes a head coach for another team next year.

Ok, ok... I know I've railed against the coaches in the "what's more important, coaches vs. players" discussion. BUT... that doesn't mean coaches don't have obvious value.

A staff of credible coaches can help in the margins. After all, they're often designated very specific duties -- like offense or defense -- while the head guy handles the big-picture stuff.

The Wolves have offered a mixed bag (at best) of head coaches. But look at the coaching trees beneath them. It might be even worse. Has the Wolves ever had a leading coaching candidate sitting besides the head coach?

Any of the assistants go on to enjoy a successful prominent career elsewhere. Other than Randy Wittman, obviously. He's one of the greats.

[Note: This group has buzz, which is entirely new for Wolves fans.]

Eh, not quite. Hanson's never been a shooting coach.
