San Antonio at Minnesota: Not Your Father’s Spurs
Re: San Antonio at Minnesota: Not Your Father’s Spurs
Another fantastic game by Wiggins. He continues to show something new each game. That pass to backdoor cutting culver and that spin to the right and dump pass to layman that both leads to dunks are passes I never thought he can make. Another great performance.
As cam said, the role players all did their job and the max guys play like max guys. It was a great team effort.
I like Teague off the bench. It may just be a permanent thing now but having him lead the 2nd unit really balances out things for us. He can carry the unit for a stretch while culver gets to play with the starters. Wig and towns dominate the ball for the starters while the rest play off them.

I don't know about you guys -- though I'm sure you'll all agree -- I am quite impressed overall with this team so far. They're playing over their heads, I think, but it's been a lot of fun and very entertaining to watch.
Minnesota gets to pummel Washington on Friday to get to 8-4. I'm assuming a dominating performance and would be crushed if the guys somehow fumbled that game away. Let's see what our guys are made of before the Houston game this weekend.
They aren't playing over their heads if this Wiggins is for real. The wolves would have 2 legit all stars if Wiggins is for real.
If Wiggins goes back to his 1st 5 year preformances this start of the season is fool's gold

But in all seriousness I really hope this is real for Wiggins. It changes everything for this organization if it is real
No doubt! I really like the nucleus and fit of KAT, Wiggs and Cov. Culver is starting to impress and if he gets more consistency with his shot, he's going to fit in well with our core guys. Layman looks like our best pick up and I am glad we got him on a cheap deal.

It may be fun to list all of the potential Wiggins trades. I believe Jae Crowder was floated around at some point.

Also it's one game but is it possible that Culver will continue to start and Teague become the 6th man?
That makes sense on a lot of different levels, but the only way that happens is if Teague himself offers that up. You just don't do that to an established vet who by any objective measure is the team's best point guard.

It is a massive game changer. It basically changes the entire way the front office thinks about this season and this offseason. If Wiggins really keeps this up, it very much simplifies what they need to go do. Defenders, shooters, and no need for anything but a solid game manager at PG.

It feels good and fun to watch this team and wig.
I believe cool, doper, monster, keek and myself are the only wig supporters left here over the years. Admittedly, expectations were lowered each season but it's nice to see him these past 11 games. Definitely growth and progress.
Props to cam and q and others for being objective about him this season. I understand that wig needs to prove himself the rest of the season before others will believe in him but its a nice start for him and the team.
I want us to dominate the wizards next game. Towns is blunt to get in a hot streak from 3 after being cold there and if the role players do their job and wig can sustain his play, we are going to string up a couple more wins the next few games.

Fixed it for you, Q. I know what you meant.

Win or lose, they're playing a more entertaining style of basketball for those of us who are just casual fans of the game, the winning is just icing on the cake!

Heh. I've never had an issue with Teague as a point guard in a stand alone comparison with other PGs. He's solid. My issue has always been his fit with our team and the fact his effort level waxes and wanes (not tonight obviously).
