I think Wall would garner a lot.
Something like Rubio + LaVine.
On the surface... most would probably gasp. But that would give the Wolves a LEGIT Big 3 for an extended run. The question is whether we think LaVine can reach that level...
So who's got the ball? Wall or Wiggins?
I get your point after the earlier discussion in this thread. And, Thibs may very well prefer not to have a guy like Rubio or Wall entirely in favor of a Wiggins-centric offense ala Wade or Kobe or James (granted, those are all HUGE reaches at this point).
But...
Maybe Thibs thinks Wall is worth having the ball in his hands more than Rubio because he is more of an all-around threat. And that would give the Wolves two guys they could give it to and say "just go!"
Wall is a career 51% TS, that's not good at all. This season his 3pt% and TS is way up. but it may be just hot streak. And Wizards suck more than ever.

Both...doesn't matter. Wall is best running the show, but he can also be effective playing off the ball, and Wig is much improved this year as a ball handler. Wall/Wig/Belly/Dieng/KAT would be a very strong starting lineup.
Wall is the most ball dominant player in the league. He literally creates everything in DC. The guy doesn't know what off the ball means.

So are you saying he's not an all-around threat capable of scoring or passing?

Simply put Wall for the Wolves is a pipe dream right now. If the Wizards were looking to deal Wall next offseason there will likely be teams lining up with offers. I realize Dunn hasn't looked very good but it's a little early to be bailing on him already.
I'd hope we can find some 3 and D players (or develop them) to pair with the guys we already have. That's where I would be putting my energy.

I'm saying that he has been a pretty lousy go to scorer and franchise player who brought little success to his team. I wouldn't want him to be the main guy with the ball when we must score. Towns and Wiggins are already the better options. He would have to give up the ball much more here, something he's never done. I question what he can give us off the ball. Basically I think his effectiveness will go down in a reduced role. I'm bothered by his lack of success for a player with gaudy stats playing in Leastern conference his entire career. Wizards' only more or less successful season was when Pierce stopped by and showed them how it's done.

I'd much rather have Paul Millsap if we had our choice of All-Stars to add to this team, but unfortunately, it rarely -- if ever -- works out for us like that.

Yeah, I don't see Wall being made available for anyone not named Wiggins or KAT.
Also, for all the crap Rubio gets from some on this board for "not being a winner", what about Wall? For someone that we'd have to give an arm and leg for, he certainly hasn't won much in Washington....And his squad gets to play cupcakes like Brooklyn and Philly far more than we do!
I think at the end of the day, Thibs will want a "good enough" PG that can organize the offense, defend, and knock down the open shot. Perhaps he views weaning the team off Rubio and giving Wiggins and Towns more play making responsibility as a "one-step back, two-steps forward" type of strategy such that they can eventually integrate Dunn as the starting PG and he won't have to worry about having too much responsibility. In the meantime, the other guys start developing more as play makers, albeit in fits and starts.

I like Patty Mills a lot. The guy has been better than Parker for the Spurs for some time now. He's always a plus for them. If the ball is going to be in Andrew's hands Mills would be a great fit.
Stealing Spurs players is never a bad idea.

Isn't Ricky showcasing a Lil bit of all his flaws this year, missing games missing shots, now his D has been suspect and he's shooting %63 from the line. You guys that have held strong to him have nothing to support your case for him but to blame the coach. I've taken alot of grief for being irrational when it comes to Ricky. Are you guys sure your 100% rational with what u think he can still bring to the table? I not trying to come across as a dick here but I think it's fair to ask if guys arent holding to tight becuz you don't wanna be wrong about him after all these years

It's still early in the season and the sample size is very small. I believe he was shooting 44% and 40% after 5 games. Then 2 bad games and he's shooting 33%. Things can change quickly and I doubt it gets any worse. So you keep the champagne in the fridge for now.
