No offense, but Kenny, Chuck, Jalen, T-Mac, etc. aren't guys that I turn to for basketball insight. They just don't watch enough ball across the league to make some of the comments they do. And on top of it, they're almost completely unaware of what advanced statistics are and how they're used in today's game. That's probably why they still think Carmelo Anthony is worth a shit.
As for Rubio, he's not perfect nor is he a complete liability. Depending on the night, he can absolutely help you win or he'll fail to make an impact. You kind of know what you're getting with him. And he's still the best option we have on hand, though I'd like to see more of Jones because wow are we misusing him by not using him at all.

Towns played like the best big man in the league.
Wiggins with 27 4reb 4 asts, hell of a game, clutch board and fts
Tyus only in the 4th quarter, 4 pts 4 asts and 2 chargers taken he is a winner.
Dunn great d and made winning plays on the glass and making extra passes. Maybe I was wrong he might be a sg.
Lavine struggled but that will happen.
They did it mostly in the half court because of hack a jordan what is extra cool.
Feels good

Given the choice of one or the other, I'll take their insight over advanced statistics any day. Stats support arguments Cam, not make them.

Did you watch the game cam? Dont take it as a challenge or something negative. But if you just watch the 4th quarter, you will see the difference of a rubio and a pg capable of scoring running the offense late in the game. Its a big difference.
Rubio is still a serviceable player in the league and a rotation guy in the league. When we are up 8-10 in the 4th, having the ball in his hands is not a problem. But in a close game or playing catchup, he is not a good option. He is not a closer at his position latgely due to his offense. The rest if his game is good, but he just never improved hus shooting and might be getting worst at it. That is the problem.

I thought Webber's commentary was very insightful during the game. The guy is very thoughtful and articulate.

Heard Barkley's comments. He must not have watched Dunn at all this season. He has not been good and was not good tonight. If Tyus doesn't play point guard the last quarter we lose a game to a very bad team. That said, Dunn made some nice hustle plays at the end of the game. Tyus, on the other hand, has earned playing time and is a viable option at the end of games, even with Rubio still on the team, which most likely won't be for long. Can Dunn grow into a starting role? It's possible, but man he does not look like a point guard out there at all right now.

On the contrary, stats can also prove that what you're (general term) saying is unsupported bullshit derived from your own imagination and the majority of what comes out of those guys mouths is just flat out inaccurate.
I think what makes their takes kind of meh for me is that they didn't play in this era. They don't really understand this era because of that. How many times do I need to hear Barkley say that "jump shooting teams can't win a championship" while he completely ignores the defensive side of the ball? How many times do I need to hear Jalen Rose talk about Rubio as though he's the worst defender at the position, and then listen to him talk about Kyrie's improvements (!?) on that end.
They're there for entertainment purposes, IMO, not real analysis.

One thing that should be noted. They really helped us out by going small. It allowed us to keep in all four of Tyus, Dunn, Zach and Wiggins and each made some plays down the stretch to contribute to the win (Tyus running point, Dunn defensively and hustle plays, Wiggins and Zach got some tough boards). If you have to take one out to play a big we might not win that game.

I did watch the game, and trust that I am very aware of the difficulties that come with Rubio leading a team. I've also been plenty critical of him this season and in the past. That's mainly why I've suggested different options to change up the position, but that's neither here nor there.
Again, Rubio's not a perfect point guard, but he does have nights where he can absolutely help you win. We've seen it. He's done it. There are also nights where his inability to score snakebites the team and creates even more pressure on teammates to carry the load. I feel like I've been quite fair when the subject is Rubio and the "four on five" idea has only been true in my eyes when he's been without the ball. For whatever reason, when he's got it, plays can still get made. He defies general logic from time to time.

For that last 5 minutes the oldest guy on the court for the wolves was 22yr old rookie Dunn.
That is amazing
