Pork you say you wanted this team to sell high on Rubio...from what I can gather teams that were calling around this offseason were basically just looking to take him off our hands. As for an upgrade look at a guy like Delly he got paid a pretty nice salary because he showed he could defend and shoot but is he a starting quality guard? There really is a lot of depth at the position but many of the guys throughout that talent pool have flaws some significant. Look at a guy like Rondo who not that long ago was considered a really nice player. Now he is getting benched and bouncing around the league. Upgrading from Rubio by plugging in someone else isn't quite as simple as just finding some other guy which is probably why no names have been mentioned when they have been asked for.

Read this as a whisper...

Psst... Darren Collison would make a lot of sense as a free agent addition this off-season, especially if Ricky Rubio is going to be traded at some point.

To be a backup, great. Otherwise there's a reason Sacramento is still looking for a PG.

I think he'd be a pretty decent fit as a short-term starter, placeholder for Dunn and/or eventual backup for whoever replaced him. And he'd be relatively cheap. With our young trio, we don't really need a lot from the point guard position. He's obviously just a complementary player.

He seems like a solid defender. I think he could be a solid starter for this team as a complementary player. He might not come "Cheap" though. to me he brings a lot of what Dragic does (can do some of everything well) only obviously less dynamic but also cheaper and more willing to be a complimentary player and possible backup if Dunn makes the jump. Unless his defense is actually not that great it seems like he would be a nice fit for a few teams. The thing you have to wonder about a little is why he hasn't stuck anywhere. My guess is he is good enough to get opportunities but not good enough to build around or whatever. He is a guy to consider depending on what the rest of the season brings.
