They only had him with 2 blocks. That's ridiculous. Didn't he have 2 or 3 on the one play?

I can't bump my Wiggins is soft thread. He wasn't, at least in the 4th quarter. He played hard.

I think the confidence is brewing with him and KAT. All the more emphasis for having the Vets on the team this year. They are getting the D matters talk everywhere they turn.

This win was huge. I really hope it sticks and they start to believe. There were so many good things that happened in the 4th on both sides of the ball.

I missed the game but I'm about to watch the replay. The box score tells me that KAT was the star again tonight with Belly continuing his stellar all-around play. The box score also indicates that Wiggins played within himself again on the offensive end with efficient scoring. Wiggins didn't show up in the rebounding or assist categories, but I love the 2 blocks. Looks like Tyus really came through off the bench. And Taj was Taj. I really love that guy. Shame on me for not wanting to give him the contract he got. :)

Although I'm about to watch the game, I'm interested in summary thoughts from you guys who already watched it. How was Wiggins on the defensive end? I get the sense he's really turned the corner defensively lately so I'm wondering how he played tonight on that end of the court. Why did Teague end up playing less than 30 minutes? Other thoughts?

If the box score tells you Belly had stellar all around play, it's lying. Both he and Wig were bad for the first 3 quarters, and then they both finished strong. KAT was sensational all night and Tyus was also a big key in the victory.

skip the 1H.

Then have some napkins ready for the 2H.

Defensively, Wiggs was decent in the 1H and then turned into Kawhi on steroids in the second.
Tyus was excellent running the team in the 2H. The ball was moving and he was defending.
Paying Dieng that money is going to cost us Bjelly because he is going to get paid this off season.

And KAT is really good at basketball.

Through the 1st 3 quarters you are going to see the Wiggins that we all hate, he was settling for jumpers not attacking hard and was super lazy on loose balls. Even though his defense was pretty good through 3 quarters. You are going to see Belly play very badly and couldn't make a shot. You are going to see KAT put the damn team on his back with help from Taj, Teague and Tyus.

Then in the 4th quarter you are going to see the "max" level Wiggins, in attack mode (I believe he had 13 pts in the 4th) and play all NBA defense. He was special in the 4th. Belly started to hit is shots in the 4th. And KAT closed the deal. KAT was fucking special again tonight and all game was if Wiggins can come to the party we can win. Well he did. Thanks to KAT for being special.

On the Teague/Tyus thing, both played very well. I think Tyus was going to finish the game but he was "exposed" on 2 late possessions offensively where he did not run the offense good and he could not create his own shot. So Thibs put Teague in the game and Teague closed the game with a steal and dunk when we were up 3 with 15 secs to play. Both played very good and both deserved the minutes, I think Teague is super underrated in the terms of leadership. I think when Tyus has it going he is fine with them riding Tyus. And he is the first one to come to talk to him during timeouts. Teague is the better player and Tyus might take his job during his contract but it seems like Teague is a super team guy first what is huge.

*you will also see a 4th quarter defensive possession where wiggins cuts off a driving lane from Beal, and causing a miss. It was knocked out to Porter and Wiggins sprinted out to him and cut off the driving lane, causing Porter to take a step back jumper that he missed. That possession on defense was so special. He covered so much ground and played like an all NBA defender on that possession what was so cool to see. He guarded the Wizards best 2 players in one possession, it was special. He also gave the Wiggins "yell" like he normally does when he dunks on someone when Kat hit the clutch 3. Wiggins and KAT had so much fire in the 4th. It looked like KAT was going to cry when Teague got the late steal to clinch in (KAT huge reason why the steal happened) he was so fired up. Putting the team on his back.

Geek -- I just finished watching the first half. You were right on the mark in your description. I was really impressed with both Teague and Tyus in the first half. I'm not looking forward to watching the 3rd quarter, which you described as a continuation of the first two. But I'm really looking forward to watching the 4th.

By the way, I agree with your take on Teague as underrated for leadership. He truly is the ultimate team guy. No ego. Solid player.
