They both did not shoot well and their defense was bad. We all know that we need all 3 to play well to even have a shot at winning. Thats how bad the rest of the team is.

We don't play a pg that can shoot. We don't have a reliable back up wing. Our bench bigs are a hot mess. Belly has been terible. Aldrich is a 3rd string center on a good team. Then were looking at payne and hill. I don't think its the big 3's fault for how bad this season has turned out. They all have holes in their games and they all need to defend better. But the rest of the team is a mess.

Wiggins went 3-5 for 6 points and Gorgui missed a shot, so 3-6 for 6 points. The Wizards went 5-5 for 11 points. Game over.

Absolutely. And here's the thing about our defense: yes there is some general confusion out there, but by far the biggest problem is a lack of effort. We simply don't expend enough energy on D. Maybe we can't because our main guys are asked to play so much. But until we play harder on D it's not going to change.

Yeah but Wiggins is the only one who has problems with effort on D. Everyone else gives it their all when Gortat doesn't miss a shot.

What????????? Is this conversation even real tonight?

I had choppy internet tonight, so only saw glimpses of the game. I dislike how Wiggins plays the game. He contributes nothing except scoring. And his tunnel vision has to be a real drag on everyone else. I look forward to the time we get something good for him...

Like the Detroit Lions, rebuilding since 1959. Watch out what you wish for Tim.

I think I turned the conversation towards Wig, my bad on that. Obviously he was far from the reason we lost tonight. Defense was terrible by everyone.

I guess a sign of growth for me would be Wig scoring 20 and making guys better throughout the game and making passes to open guys, he did this in the 3rd a bit. Him scoring in iso and not passing the last 6 possessions isn't progress, same thing over and over.

I think we are all just tired of being a wolves fan, we are picking at all the little things that annoy us with all our players (some are correct some are just out of frustration). We are just confused and frustrated on why we are this bad so any little thing annoys the shit out of us

I've maintained that ball movement has been a problem since day 1 this year. So I agree with you on that. But honestly, with the way this game went I was happy Wig was aggressive offensively at the end of the game.

That's Thibs' fault though.

I thought he showed growth in the Milwaukee game with some of his finds. He didn't just make the extremely simple pass in that game, but actually made some reads that I wasn't expecting.

Then Portland did something smart. They trapped him and he took forever to dribble out of it, allowing the trapping guy to recover to his man, instead of making the quick read to get it to someone for a 4 on 3 situation. It was frustrating to watch because guys like Harden, LeBron, Curry, Butler, Westbrook, etc. know exactly how to deal with a trap such that their team ends up with a dunk or corner 3. Hopefully by year 5 or 6 he's as adept at it as those guys are.
