If Thad keeps playing well and opts in at 9 million a year, Flip will probably consider that his best option for next year. I don't think he's worth that much, but that wouldn't outrage me either.
It's not like we will be strapped for cash either. Thad is a borderline starter and a great bench player on a good team.

I wonder if we could work a trade for one of their young PF's - Zeller or Vonleh?
Kevin Martin and Mo Williams (plus trade exception) for Lance Stephenson and Zeller or Vonleh.
If you were a fan of the Hornets would you want your team to trade two guys under 25 for two guys on the wrong side of 30? We aren't getting any former top 10 pick under 25 for Martin, Mo, or both.

+1
I agree that it would probably take a bit more than I suggested but Lance Stephenson and his contract are a burden for the Hornets atm. They can't even dump him off to a team. Zeller has hardly set the league alight either and Vonlehs barely been able to log minutes. They need to build around Walker and Jefferson. Martin gives them a shooter to space the floor around big Al.

Jones would be a great get for us provided his medical stuff looks good. Young talented PF with good size. I wonder if they have interest in Martin? I know they need a PG.
He mentioned that Flip has shown little inclination of trading Young or Martin. Also that after Afflalo is moved teams will likely take a longer look at Bud. We can only hope.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and New York Knicks are among preferred destinations for Goran Dragic, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
I'm inclined to hope for the Knicks to help them win more games..
