Love:
- Darius Garland, PG, Vanderbilt
- Jarrett Culver, SG, Texas Tech
- DeAndre Hunter, SF, Virginia
- Jaxson Hayes, PF/C, Texas
- Keldon Johnson, SG/SF, Kentucky
- Coby White, PG/SG, North Carolina
Hate:
- Nassir Little, SF, North Carolina
- Cam Reddish, SF, Duke
- Rui Hachimura, SF/PF, Gonzaga
- Romeo Langford, SG, Indiana
- Kevin Porter Jr., SG, USC
Cam - I agree with you completely on your stay-away list except perhaps for Nassir Little. Little's shooting is problematic, but I like his athleticism and motor. Reddish looks to me like Wiggins II. Kevin Porter Jr. appear to have issues between the ears that make him too risky and no countervailing college performance to offset those issues. Langford hasn't gotten it together and his handle looks suspect to me. Hachimura looks pretty slow and plodding by NBA standards. He looks like a one of those good college players who doesn't have the tools to excel in the NBA.
Among the guys on your positive list, I like Culver. I've watched him play a number of times and should have included him on my list. But I'm not sure he has another level to his game. I'm afraid he might be a pretty high floor guy without a very high ceiling. I haven't seen enough of Jaxson Hayes or DAndre Hunter yet to have an opinion. Actually, I haven't seen or heard enough for anything close to a definitive opinion on anyone yet - except Zion and Ja.
I'm wondering why you don't have Nickeil Alexander on your good list. Take a look at his highlight videos. He has a great handle and a really nice feel for the game. He looks completely ambidextrous. He also has a nice perimeter shot.
