Woohoo! Wiggins 42% 3 pt. this season. Really hope he continues playing with this energy. I don't think he adjusted well to being the 4th option.

Whole team playing well together, but particularly excited for Wiggins.

Is Wiggins good? There are definitely some positive signs happening.

The positive signs has been his 3 and defense. If he can hit 40% of his 3's at 8 attempts a game then that will be huge for us. I like that we are giving him post ups again. Post ups, cuts and 3s should be his game. If he is thinking about pulling up for a long 2, I might as well hope he pull up for a 28ft 3 pointer.

He is also getting more steals and deflections. Its still a limited sample size but he has definitely been much better at anticipating and making gambles. Focus this season on shooting 3's and post ups. Ball handling needs a lot of work still but those 2 and defense should be his main priority this season.

Great atmosphere at TC tonight with almost a full house there to see the new Prince uniforms, a fun Morris Day halftime show, and best of all...the new look Wolves. And they didn't disappoint, showing the most aggressive team defense I have seem them play. Teague was terrific guarding Lillard, and RoCo made life miserable for CJ when he was matched up with him. Nurcic is a beast, but KAT didn't back down all night. I know many in the crowd wanted to see Okogie, but the great performance at both ends of the court makes it hard to question Thibs' choices tonight. Oh, except for the last 3 minutes. I agree with others that Josh should have been in with a 20 point lead and 3 minutes left...along with Nunnaly, Jones, Saric and G.

Uh . . . Wiggins is top 10 NBA in steals ... and averaging career high blocks. If he hustled in transition .... he's been a very good defensive player for the last two seasons. He was our best defensive player (shut down Harden much more than Butler, who was injured) in playoffs last year. At some point this board may change their opinion on his defense.

Agree. I have been one of wig's biggest supporter here over the years. His continue improvement on d will be huge. He started playing better d last season but his anticipation and activity has been better this season.

I would hope so. His D has been on a positive upswing for a while.

Lip is late with his game report....again! May be he was out with Doper last night....

- I thought Teague played a great game on BOTH ends. He was locked in defensively from the beginning and he really helped stem the Portland run in the 3rd quarter with some nice PnR action with Gibson.

- Wiggins 3-ball....please, oh please, oh please let this be real. He's had 15 game stretches in the past where he has shot it at 40%+, only to revert to his normal ~ 33% or so.

- I thought KAT was mediocre last night. He kind of reverted to his over-dramatic floppiness and loose PnR coverages, but it's nice to know we can win without him having a monster game.

- Covington may be a transformative acquisition. While Butler is the better all around player, Covington just seems to fit better (I know, small sample size alert!).

- Rose continues to impress the hell out of me. I was dead set against signing him, but Thibs was onto something when he talks about the fact Rose hasn't been healthy for such a long stretch before, so he's finally got his sea legs under him again. His left-handed scoop shot that he snuck in under the defense was a thing of beauty, anyone remember that play? That is elite level skill.

- Saric knows how to play. The execution isn't always there, but he just knows how to play and that's half the battle sometimes.

- DE-FENSE! #22 now in opponent eFG%, THE most important metric for this team. While that's still not good, we've been bottom 5 in this area for multiple seasons. It's nice to see it trending in the right direction.
