Has a lot to do with butler. I mean look at Kats numbers with him and without him. Kat rolls so much more when he is running PnR with anyone but butler
Yeah, I thought it was quite noticable how disinterested Butler was in getting the ball to KAT. Butler can be gone tomorrow.

There is a huge rhythm and repetition aspect to being a great shooter.
I imagine there is a lot one can complain about on Thibs' rotations. But putting Nunnally in to start the 4th is not one of them. Thibs is pretty consistent with his rotations, and he has the backup PG start the 2nd and 4th quarters. With Rose unable to go in the 2nd half, the next man up was Nunnally. And while that might have been a disaster for him if he had to handle the ball a ton, that unit had Butler to handle the ball. Of course, that didn't work out so well, either...
I get that golden state is great, and it could have happened either way. But a good coach doesn't put a new player, playing very very limited minutes, in that situation.

I think every coach, especially good ones, have a "next man up" philosophy. It was not crunch time, just the start of the 4th quarter to give Tyus a blow.

If you know you're down to 1 PG at the half, then you bite the bullet in the 3rd (run or not), not the 4th.
Maybe then your "next man up" gets a stroke going and you have another option in the fourth. Or you can move to another option instead..

We extended the lead in the 3rd. Game might of gotten out of hand if done earlier. He was asked to play 4 minutes not 15. It was a fine coaching decision

Its insane.
Start with removing Butler.
Then move to removing Thibs.
I'm with you.
How about your coaching experience?
What are your thoughts on Thibs' ongoing timeout management, his decision to play a guy - without a touch since halftime shootaround - in 4 big 4th quarter minutes, and his overall rotations?
