Hopefully we are able to find a couple solid bench wings, but we may have to accept not getting them and wait for next summer.

Just going off spotrac we have 99.5m in salary now and unless we add anymore 2 year contracts, we would be around 93m including Aldrich who can be bought out saving 5m or traded saving 7m. So best case around 86m before RFA cap holds. idk if we could find enough room to sign someone before the capping out or not.

Either way I don't see why we couldn't flip Aldrich to a team wanting cap relief between the trade deadline and next summer.

Best case trade him for a 10ish mill bench guy if the situation is right. Then we would likely have the full MLE to offer someone next summer plus having a 1st rounder.

Worst case, we just buyout Aldrich and have the full MLE and 1st rounder.

Some are some more other players that haven't been mentioned that are perimeter players.

Jordan McRae
Marcus Thornton
Alonzo Gee
Mike Miller
Demetrius Jackson (waived by Boston assuming nobody claims him)
Mo Williams its been reported he is wanting to play again and somewhat shockingly only 34. lol
Troy Williams

Players from the international ranks with some legit NBA experience. I don't know their contract status.

James Anderson
Steve Blake
Royal Crouch (I don't know who this guy is but his name was worth mentioning lol)
Shane Larkin

I don't care if he can play or not...I'm all in on Royal Crouch!

The Mavs let Nico Brussino go. I was just listening to the Dunc'd on podcasts guys say he looked a JR better Than they expected in Summer league. His stats last year aren't super exciting but his highlights are pretty intriguing for a guy that looks to have plenty of length. He has a nice highlight reel of just his passes.

Don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread but a name that's been circulating in Wolves rumours is Dante Cunningham. Didn't realise he has become a decent 3pt shooter - 40% on almost 3 attempts a game. Small sample size over one season but I remember him getting that long 2 shot whenever he wanted it during his first stint as a Wolf. If he's extended his range out to the 3pt line then he'll be a great role player. Add to that the hustle, defence and energy we know he'll bring.

Now that the Wolves have become the PREMIER NBA free agent destination we will have to be even picker about who we sign :)

Thanks for posting. Sure looks good in the highlight reels. I like that he's not just a shooter. Looks like a good passer and decent ballhandler with nice length. Looks like there's a little defense in him too with a steal and blocked shot included isn't he highlights. Seriously, I'd definitely try to sign him. Maybe we can offer him the rest of our cap space - about $1.7 million for 2 years with a player option on the 3rd.

I would hope a guy that was just cut by the Mavs is someone we could get for the minimum and on a two year deal with only a partial guarantee.

Sure. Offer the minimum. But I'd be willing to use the rest of our small cap space to sign a guy like Brussino. A younger player's minimum salary will be smaller, so it makes sense to use our remaining cap space to sign a younger guy.

He has to clear waivers first. Why not just put in a waiver claim? He will likely have offers to play elsewhere so there could be value on just claiming him over hoping to sign him. I don't know how much he wants to play in the NBA. Still he has a year of NBA experience so that means the vet min for him is over 1 million which isn't a small amount of money. Of course it benefits an NBA team benefits financially by doing a vet min deal because the league pays some of the salary.
