I'm just looking at this thread now but I think in preseason especially early on you tend to see team go with 1st and 2nd units because they have been practicing that way for a while and it makes sense to stick with that at first.
We grabbed 13 offensive boards, and only gave up 6. Gotta like that! We cut our turnovers down a lot in the 2nd half. We shot the 3 better than we shot 2-pointers. And we seemed to pick up the defense in the 2nd half after a pretty woeful 1st half (well, statistically anyways).
Lots of things to like from the box score for the first game of the preseason.

But still....look at what Rubio and Dunn did combined: 15 pts, 9 rebounds, 12 assists, 5 steals, 4 TOs. Not bad.
Rubio was the more efficient player with 9 points on 5 shots and 0 turnovers, but that is to be expected for now.
Oh yeah! I am very happy with the 1-2 punch of Rubio and Dunn at the point. A lot of factors will play into our 60-win regular season, and that combo at the point is high up on the list.

It was a tale of two halves Monster. We absolutely crushed them in the 2nd half.
I'm telling you, he and Zimmer talked! Isn't Zimm also the master of halftime adjustments?
I love this board 68 posts so far on a preseason game that people may have been listening to via a radio feed at the most.
Let's remember the heat had already played one game. That may not seem like much but even in the summer league it seems like those teams that have played one game compared to a team that hasn't usually has a bit of a better performance.
