I like that you put it out there like that.

I think the Curry effect is also that a new brand of basketball is being ushered in and Curry busted down the door and made the whole thing basically his. It may be 20-30 year or even more before we see a guy shoot the ball like him again or ever. Because of Curry maybe some guys will be more open to letting it fly and franchises will be even more letting and even encouraging it happening no matter the position.

So could Buddy be sort of a next generation of those guys who shoots 3's? Is he going to be a more SG type of player in the talent level of what Curry was when he was just pretty good or will Buddy be the next Michael Redd? Either of those would be fantastic outcomes to be honest. I just haven't seen enough of him to project how good he can be. I don't know how NBA franchises see him at this point but I don't think he is as high as some media types have been saying lately. He could blow people away in workouts or something with ball handling wizardry or something I suppose but it will be interesting to see where he goes.

Tim, I'd personally take what Jon says over whoever he is referring to and I think he was saying some media types as well as fans. I've spent a lot of time this past year or so listening or reading a lot of Jon's stuff and based on some stuff he has shared it seems he knows what he is talking about and he is very well respected among his peers. He has his biases like anyone but he seems about as legit when it comes to any team as you can get.

Anyway back to the topic...I was actually a little surprised at how open (50/50) he was to the idea that Glen might actually go another direction. Unlike some here I am sorta ok with Sam coming back but I won't be sad if they get another guy either. You have brought up that Flip had a list of coaches and Glen probably would give more than a passing thought to who Flip liked and who he didn't. We all worry about Glen making the right decision but Ibdonthink we forget how connected Glen is and there are probably legit people he can call from other organizations that will tell him their honest opinion but the issue is whether or not he can sift through all the Intel he gets and make the right call.

I don't mind him keeping Milt another year. We really don't know what input or influence he had with Flip. For all we know he helped sway Flip in some of his moves. They were supposed to be fairly close and he may have the same vision Flip had for this team. I think it's pretty much a given that Milt had plenty of discussions about Flip's vision for this team including his coaching list. There's just so much information we are not privy to from the outside.

I just hope a coaching search starts right after the season, but I won't get my hopes up.

Milt is staying for another year. It makes no sense to let him run the draft and not bring him back for the remainder of next season. Glen needs to formally announce it.

This has been in the works for a while but it's interesting Kaplain Levian are really getting into the sports franchise thing. It seems they are pretty serious so I wonder if in a couple year they are on track to own either the Wolves or buy out Perra and own the Grizzlies. It's gonna be interesting.
