Nice and important win tonight. Kudos to Kevin Love for stepping up and carrying this team even though his three-pointer wasn't falling. Also have to give a shout out to Turiaf, Brewer and Budinger.

I'm going to use tonight's game to bestow my first Kevin Martin Disappearing Act Award. Not surprisingly, this first award goes to Kevin Martin for his whopping 8 points on 30% shooting from the field and missing a free throw down the stretch. But enough guys stepped up and the entire team stepped up defensively. I also saw a continuation of the intensity and grit we say against Golden State the other night.

I just don't get Martin, lip. He plays great in Golden State and Portland, and then decides to take the night off. I honestly haven't followed him much in his career. I know he has had injury issues, but is this up and down thing part of his routine, too?

Hard for me to hate on Martin even though he did have a rough night. He's been lights out the last five games or so and we wouldn't have won in Golden State without him.

Agree, cam, but his effort can vary night to night as much as anyone in the league not named Williams.

Was it an effort thing? I didn't see that at all, honestly. He just wasn't making shots he can normally make. Defended decently and seemed to go after a bunch of rebounds. I thought the energy was there, the shot-making was not.

I agree, Cam. I did not have a problem with Martin's effort. And he did make a huge basket in crunchtime.

I'm going to defer to you on this one, cam, because I missed the first half. I actually thought he looked all right in the second half. There aren't many guys who can hit that turnaround jumper he made from the left baseline...thing of beauty.

That's good news if the effort was there and he was just missing shots. We're a much better club when Kevin is going 100%,

I'd argue in the country lol. I actually hit the mute button when he starts speaking. I mean, seems like a good guy and all, and obviously loves the game, but one word sums his analyzing up: awkward!
