Thank God for Dieng, without his performance Cool would have had to lie out his backside to come up with a Plus 1.

60Win Tim-- I kind of excited Zach will be thrown in the mix the next couple of weeks! It could be very helpful this season if we fast-track some development now.
There you go. The glass is half full. Zach is Teddy Bridgewater, this is an opportunity. I'll try

On the inbounds play when we were up 2 in regulation. They had frye on the in bounder(mo) and payton on pek, pek rolled straight to the rim and was open with only payton behind him, mo should have pass it to pek instead he gave it near midcourt to martin who was trapped and forced that turnover. Mo was able to amzingly block their fast break attempt but they retain the ball and vuc's was fouled and made the game tieing fts. That was the turning point for me. Should have in bound to pek who was rolling to the rim with payton behind him. You know rubio would have pass it to pek 10x out of 10 in that situation.

I'm reading a lot of overreaction here guys. Yes, if Rubio is out for a long time, we're screwed...he's our best player. But if it's just a sprain and he's only out a short time, things are still looking good. I had no problems with the way Mo and LaVine ran the team after Ricky went down...9 assists and only 2 turnovers. I didn't see any Barea hero ball from either of them. Mo struggled on defense and didn't have his shot, but Kevin and Thad couldn't shoot tonight either. Flip designed a beautiful play at the end of regulation and Williams got the ball to our high scorer with just a couple seconds on the clock. Martin didn't hit the shot, but it was the right play and a very makeable shot. I like it that Kevin wanted the ball at crunch time even on a bad shooting night, and that Flip trusted him to make it.
One thing that was terrible tonight was our rebounding...52-38 in favor of Orlando.

Very good point, world...I saw that too.

Bennett didn't get a chance to match Gordon's production.
Martin settled for long jumpers late, and allowed a costly TO at the end of regulation. (Wouldn't have been in the game without him)
Young had a tough night. Couldn't get his jumper going. Also got shafted by the referees on FTs several times.
Williams was meh. His jumper was also off tonight. Defense on Payton was poor as well. Didn't like that he dribbled the ball down to :06 before running the last play of regulation, though that could have been by Flip's orders.
Wiggins needed more touches. He had another good third quarter. Just a kid still getting acclimated to the NBA. Really liked his pass to Pekovic early in the game.
Two important things. I hate to be the fan that bitches about officiating, but we AGAIN got shafted on the game-deciding play. There wasn't a foul on Vucevic at the end of regulation. Wiggins avoided him while in the air; Pekovic swatted air. Vucevic blew the layup and Pekovic grabbed the board, but instead there was a late whistle.
That makes three losses out of three losses in which the deciding play of the game was completely effected by poor officiating. Rubio foul on Carter, no call on Butler's travel and this mystery foul drawn by Vucevic. Give me a break.
Get well soon, Rubio. He's the wind beneath this team's sail, the engine that makes this car operate. Team went from scrappy, energetic and passionate to sluggish, sloppy and stagnant when he went out. I've seen tweets that say he has a grade 3 ankle sprain (out 4-6 weeks), but I don't know how that diagnosis could be made right now. I know for sure that Flip said there was no break and they'll reevaluate tomorrow. Sucks to have this happen to Ricky. He finally looked like he was turning the corner and becoming the player we all wanted him to be.
Ugly loss. Hopefully we can scratch and claw tomorrow night against Miami. Steal a win in South Beach.
