It's a little high but I'm glad we have an assurance that he is going to be here for years to come. Rubio should be the perfect player to help Wiggins become the star player we all want him to be and might be able to teach LaVine a thing or two about playing PG.
Maybe the most important thing of all is as Kracyzwiskisjijfie points out in the article Grey posted is that we still have our 5yr max offer to give to Wiggins when the time comes

Saving it didn't exactly work out too well the last time we saved it. I think at this point if a guy earns it, you give it to him regardless of who could get it in the future. I don't think Ricky deserved it, but if it could have been 5 years with a cheaper per year deal that would have been nice. 14 million average is a lot for a guy still with a lot to prove.
