This team is in a 10 year playoff drought and without Kg a never been there drought. And yet fans would rather dog on his character failures like none of us have them.
Its a credit to KG that goin into his 20th year hed still find a valuable role on this team while I see 4 or 5 guys currently that have been more of a detriment .
Id like to think the Wolves are trying to build a winner, not gather a collection of PR guys. Kgs done more for the human race financially than most of us combined could ever hope too. If any fan base should cut him some slack it should be us. The Wolves might not even reside in Minny if not for him.

You really know how to pick your "heroes"

I don't get the KG hate, he's easily the best player this franchise has had. I also will never blame him for being competitive. When I watch basketball I want to see people actually go against each other and compete, not just throw the ball towards the hoop a few times, maybe play some D at the end of the game, and plan your off season move to play with your current opponent during time outs. If trash talking is part of him being competitive than I'm fine with it. Watch the 30 for 30 on the bad boys, minus some of the physical cheap shots that the kind of competitiveness I want the NBA to get back to.

He did nothing to help rein in Cassell or Sprewell when they acted out and imploded the team. In fact, talk to people who were in the Wolves organization then and you'll hear that KG was the chief enabler for Sammy and Spree. Yes, KG is a great competitor, but he's incredibly immature and a jerk. There is no way Flip would contemplate bringing in KG as a player or coach unless KG has grown up a lot since leaving the Wolves.

Yet you want Love to stay?

I would suggest you pay attention to Lip's posts regarding KG. The one thing I would add is that he has more likely become worse since leaving here rather than having matured some. Lip, I liked how you described him as immature which suits him perfectly. Here are a few more adjectives I would use:

Prick, Sonofabitch, cocksucker, asshole, dumbass, racist, bully, pinhead, douche bag, chicken shit, moron, cretin, testicle, hinder, lily liver, pussy, felcher, ball sniffer, simpleton, jerk, divot, balloon knot, and rusty bullet hole

I think that about covers it. And don't throw what Keyon Dooling said out here. We all have eyes and most of us know if it looks like a a w w duck, quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck.[/quot

Not only did I get a chuckle out of this, but I also learned a few new insult words!

I know we don't have a board moderator, but I'm going to suggest we table the Garnett talk. Like I said, he will always be a polarizing figure. He was a great player for sure, but there are people on this board who have relationships with ownership, management or even Garnett's family, who know about off court behaviors that just can't be excused. There's no need to describe them, and I don't believe anyone intends to. Let's just leave it at some love him, and some don't.

:). Actually I'd rather we trade Love before the season. That's been my view for quite a while. However, keeping Love could be justified based on the fact that Love is a great player at age 25. KG was a great player - stress on the word was.

Morrow is a shooter that's basically all he brings. Meeks is a slightly undersized shooting guard with actual fringe SG skillset. He can handle the ball shoot off the dribble etc. He isn't amazing and that contract is overpaying but he is a much more complete player that Morrow and he was that before he was with the Lakers. Lots of people here wanted him last year.

Livingston is a nice player for GS but that's too much money for the Wolves for another perimeter player that can't shoot. Guys are getting paid and people are still whining about Bud's deal. If he is healthy nobody would be complaining. Sure he was a little overpaid but yeah.

Yep I figured Gortat would get that money. Rebounding shotblocking center. That can score at least 10ppg he is getting markey value. Good for him and the wizards.

Hopefully teams spend all their money of other overpriced signings and leave someone good to scoop up. I can't believe 2 teams are fighting over Spencer Hawes. SPENCER HAWES Don't get me wrong the guy is an ok player but the offseason is getting even more funny now that FA has hit.
