"The biggest unanswered question is do we have a crunch-time go-to guy?"
Most overrated aspect of basketball these days. Run your offense and execute the plays. Iso and two-man game isn't as effective as a five-man offense, in my opinion.

I will not argue this point. But it's what Adelman did time and time again...

There is something to be said about having a "go to guy" in the 4th quarter.
Offenses slow way down, teams go 100% on D, refs don't tend to call as many fouls.
But just as far as the Wolves go, no doubt that was their big problem last year was at end of games, and I don't think you could possibly argue they got better in that area.
Re: Optimistic Thread...NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS ALLOWED!!!!!
Wolves couldn't close games out last year but I blamed the bench or the production or lack thereof. Wolves starters were playing a ton of minutes with a lot of pressure to perform. When you have a conversation about who the best Wolves bench player that played a lot of games the answer is probably between JJ, Dante and Turiaf. All things considered (including their stats lol) that AWFUL. As bad as the Wolves bench has been these lean years I'm not sure how it can get much worse than that. If the Wolves end up with real depth this year (cross my fingers) that will help them at the end of games too. Mo Williams should by himself be better than any Wolves bench player last season and Dieng SHOULD help a lot also. 2-3 good bench players could be enough to offset the step down from Love to Thad. Serious that's how bad the bench was last year and I think Love was an enormously effective player that will be missed even though I've basically moved on.

The bench should be better for sure. That was the number 1 problem for me as well. But also, the Wolves won't probably get out to those double digit leads like they did last year without Love

Yeah I think the 37 point first quarters are long gone. Love was amazing in some of those quick starts.

A couple positive tweets:
Timberwolves PR @Twolves_PR · 22h
Good to see guys in this am getting a workout in. Martin, Brewer, LaVine and Hummel among those working out. Wiggins expected back this wk.
Darren Wolfson @DarrenWolfson · 22h
Good #Twolves news: hear Pek (ankle) is doing well -- isn't everyone before camp? Plan remains to play him at most 27 min. per game.

Terrific article and video of Wiggins going off for 57 points in high school when he was pissed off about an unfavorable article written about him and his family. He needs to get pissed off more often...man, he's going to be fun to watch!

If you're making the decision that you're trading a player of Kevin Love's caliber, while NOT bottoming out, the haul they got was very good.
