Lets be realistic here Bennett was the #1 pick, but its so far been shown to be a weak draft and also one of the weirdest drafts anyone has seen. So Bennett being compared to the other #1 overall picks is probably both unrealistic and frankly unfair. He is still a #1 overall pick though but Marvin Williams is a #2 overall pick and by year 3 (maybe sooner) I think it was apparent he wasn't going to be a star. Still Bennett is at least a top 5 pick type guy so he should still be treated as though he has some potential even with the terrible season he had last year. He has some excuses/reasons which can give you hope if you are into that type of thing. LOL

Here is another question I will throw out there. Who is the better prospect between Bazz and Bennett? If one is better than the other how much better? I ask because I think you can only have so much young talent and its very possible they have some position crossover.

Its likely bennet and filler for young. Il take the deal and not look back. Both young and bennet are the same height and young has played pf most of his career and is a solid nba player so far. Bennet is still an unknown and was pretty bad his first year in the league.

Is it ideal defensively to have a starting front court of pek+young? of course not. But its much worse with pek+bennet for now and no guarantee and small chance it will better in the future with that pairing. Bennet is part of the package instead of thompson because cavs prefer thompson over bennet even if they have to pay him next year. Its that simple. Bennet is more expendble to them.

Young is only 26. Will be a productive player and conducts himself and play the right way. Il take him for our pf for now.
