I also don't think Wiggins' availability is decided by if he plays tonight or in the rest of the summer league for that matter. This is summer league, not the regular season. He could be great or bad and neither will be a good predictor of how he plays in 4 months. I find it hard to believe he won't be a T Wolf just based on where Love is in his career now and what he could do next to Lebron, but they could be just like the Warriors and undervalue a top 10 player.

While this draft was quite deep, Wiggins was not a consensus #1 pick. He was no LeBron James or David Robinson. His numbers at Kansas were good, not great. His handles are loose. He doesn't make plays for others. These are tough things to learn, even at his age. I'm not awed by his talent and I don't think he has a superstar ceiling. I realize he's the sexy prospect, being a #1 pick and all, but I don't see the superstar upside others see.

Rudy Gay? Hmm. Isnt he considered a shooter with no conscience? One of Wiggins knocks is hes a bit to passive at times. Wiggins is a plus plus defender, Rudy??
Rudy in that they both are freak athletes. Wiggins the better defender, right. But he will probably never be as good as Love. People are talking about him like he's a sure thing. No more than Lavine, just a great prospect at this point.

If they ship Love to cleveland Wiggins better be coming back in the deal.
If not trade him somewhere else. Honestly idk how good he'll be could be a total bust but you are not getting anything less than him if he goes to cleveland, this team can't be that hopeless. If not let lebron rot in cleveland with you inexperienced players. This whole they promised wiggins or whoever else he's not being dealt lmao, ask lebron who he'd rather play with Klove or the or anybody else on that team.

To me its all about taking a Carlos Gomez swing and hoping to knock it out of the park. Becuz its either that or stay comservative with the "safe" players and toil in obscurity for another decade.
It would be nice if the Wolve had the balls to be the aggressor for once. If It doesnt work out Ill hardly bemoan the fact that we missed out on the Butlers and Thompsons of the world cuz they werent taking this team anywhere either.

Agree Mr. Chop. I think Wiggins and Lavine playing off Rubio would be a blast. I just don't want our Flipper to settle for anything less. If it ain't Wiggins, lets roll with picks from Boston and try and get lucky. I am leery, though of Bledsoe and Thompson, saying I'll go to the frozen tundra IF I get a max

So Shabazz wasn't a home run swing? What about LaVine? There were safer picks in both drafts at those slots, yet Flip took a big swing. Saying that the ONLY way a team builds a contender is to constantly swing for the fences is wrong. Contenders are built based on a combination of calculated risk taking, finding good players at good values, and a healthy dose of good luck.

Wiggins is playing. I'm going on the record and saying he will not be dealt in any Love deal. God Dammit

Shabazz was a best player available deal. Not even sure Flip was thrilled about it. The Lavine. pick I like but theres a reason he was available at 13 and even then some thought it was a reach. Besides, those were our picks. Being aggressive had nothing to do with that. Im saying if Wiggins is made available to take the chance and hope for the best.
By the way..
Tim Duncan - number one pick 5 time champion
Lebron - Number one pick 2 times
Shag- 3 times
Point being the draft has a huge role in success when considering u get the best player . Wiggins may not be but whats really the better option? A handful of third/fourth wheel guys? Those guys work out for the Spurs and almost no one else. And even they still need their number one pick in the draft, Timmeh!
