Olivia Miles putting on a show here. What a player.
She is just so in control at all times. Some of those passes were so nasty
Does it look different when she's running the point vs Ant? Tim Connelly take notes.
My question is who is that player in the NBA? Like if you could have a male version of miles next to Ant it would be perfect. Like miles has really allowed Courtney to be Courtney also.
Miles reminds me so much of early days Rubio but with a lot better threat to score.

Looking a lot better than Awa Fam who was also in play at pick #2.
Fam looks lime a rookie should look. Last game you saw her strengths as an athletic freak who can keep you honest with the jumper. Today the Lynx made her look like a rookie.
If the Storm get Juju they are going to be so fun to watch because I am so high on Molonga. Think her ceiling is high than anyone in the league

Maybe we shouldn't be looking at players and just ask Cheryl Reaves to pull double duty for the wolves!

I'm not sure if he drops to 28, and Tim might be a little shy to grab another 6"1 point guard, but Christian Anderson is very much a passing point guard. 7.4 assists per game at Texas Tech which was tied for 4th in all the NCAA last season. Braden Smith is going to be a 2nd round pick, but he broke Bobby Hurley's record for the most assists all time in NCAA history. Hes only 5"10 though, so his chances of success isn't good.

Well, Brunson and Alvarado have certainly proven that there is still room for short to short-ish PGs. And I think at #28, we'd be happy if we simply found someone that could eventually be a reliable backup PG where size is even less of an issue.

Everything ai read was Fam was a longer term play with high upside. She hasn't turned 20 yet.
What Miles is doing as a rookie is kinda insane. She is whipping passes like some crazy player playing at the YMCA not the highest level of basketball possible. Meanwhile she looks to have decided she can score now too. A player like that can be really valuable because it can make the game easier for your whole team.

Brunson is a thicker guy and always played a little bigger than he was.
I'd hope we do better than a guy that's eventually a backup PG. There are probably 3-5 backup PG this team could sign this off-season to a vet min deal. I get where you are coming ffro..and I don't completely disagree but I'd hope we were shooting higher than that or maybe we should just trade it to help upgrade/reconfigure the roster.

Think this was the first time all year I thought she really struggled defending dribble penetration all year, she did have a couple nice strips but don’t know if that is repeatable.
I’m with you on the broadcast. I can’t understand the sideline reporter and I thought the 2 man crew was bad yesterday. Such a contrast to the Fever/Dream game that had Michael Grady calling the game.
I've been saying for a few years I should really be following the Lynx. They are a good team, play team ball, play defense win games and have likeable players basically everything. This year felt extra compelling because they lost so much of their team from last year and I was like how is Reeve gonna pull it out this time. So I decided I was gonna follow them and well I've been watching Reeve do her thing one extended highlight package at a time. It's really impressive. Miles is definitely a driver of some of the success and around the time of the draft once I learned more about her as a playmaker I thought she probably made the most sense compared to the various bigs they could have taken. Then they found players to fill those spots anyways.
Kek I'm curious about your take but it seems like Kosu is finding a bit of a groove as a solid rotation player. I think it was this game she had a nice drive with a creative finish. They are kinda forced to player her with injuries etc but it looks like watching the highlights and the box score she is doing some good things the last couple games.
Kosu has been really good lately in her role. Just got extended first half run in this Seattle game. (Lynx not playing to their standard). WNBA is so interesting though because unlike the nba you can’t just stash young prospects like you can in the nba. Like for example if Beringer wasn’t in the rotation next year he would get cut in the WNBA due to roster size.
I am high on Kosu long term but think her minutes become very few when Dorka and Phee are back. I just don’t know if Kosu is here long term due to roster needs, 3 expansion drafts and it’s rare role players are with a team 3+ years. But once again I’m really high on Kosu long term, can’t teach that athleticism and she is getting more comfortable with the ball in her hands. And had a better overseas season winning Russia playoff MVP
Yeah it's tough to see her get minutes with both of those players back and Nia gonna get minutes too. If they need a big because of injury or foul trouble will they go with Kosu or McCowen? Probably someone would depend on the opponent. 2028 in the next expansion year? They have some time till then but I get what you are saying. Some other players will be FAs after they 2 year deals run out so it could get interesting.
