I worry that because it is a strong draft for WRs that will push his value down. Luckily we have not seen any WRs come in in recent years and set the world on fire as a rookie.
I think our window is closed with the group we have. I am for trading guys and rebuilding. I think the defense is going to have major turnover and this will be the biggest test yet for Zimmer. Here is an interesting read on that.

Everson Griffin voids his contract. I would love to come back as a backup. I am not sure how much interest he will get, but he would be a good rotational guy.

He isn't coming back as a backup. He had a pretty good year someone and is going to pay him to be a starter. Remember he opted out of a bunch of money not the Vikings.

Maybe - but his last 3 Decembers his production is not good. He4 total sacks. He excels early in the year. He would be great in a role the Eagles or Patriots would play him in, where he is playing closer to 50% of the snaps instead of 78%.

What about his pressures during that time? What did other guys behind him do? He played over 75% of the Vikings defensive snaps who is going to start with him being a "backup"? I had not realized Weatherly was an unrestricted FA I gave no idea what the market for him would be.

No clue. I think that is part of the problem here. He would be the best part of a rotation. I think Hunter is better on the right side either way. We need to invest in the DL, but this draft is pretty weak.

What should the Vikings do with Riley Reiff?

I think you keep him. I am hopeful Oli Udoh turns into our RT. He was solid against the Bears in week 17, but I am not ready to make him a starter. I would draft another OT to develop this year and move on from Hill if we can't get him cheap.

I think there was one offseason plan that mentioned cutting Reiff and signing some other guys. I think one of them was the guy that resigned with the Cardinal for 3 years 45 million with 29 million guaranteed. Is Reiff worth paying almost 9 million? Idk but at least he didn't get caught in Texas with 157 pounds of weed like Greg Robinson. It's gotta be tough being a Browns fan. My favorite part of that story was the one that led with "Josh Gordon is demanding a trade to Cleveland" lol
Back to Reiff...I think you keep him another year unless they draft a LT that's ready to play right away.

They were talking on KFAN that last year they had considered moving him to LG. I just can't see how we move on from him unless we are blowing this team up and I doubt we do that this year with Kirk in the last year of his big contract. The year after that could be seen as the time to do it. I think we will see the defense make big changes this year no matter what, but the offense won't. It is too bad Barr didn't take that deal with the Jets.

That's an expensive guard...who might not even be good there. I remember there being some talk about that even when he signed but I hadn't heard anything for quite a while about it. Seems like another waste of resources to me like when they moved Remmers inside (the money he was paid wasn't too bad for a guard if he was good) and then ended cutting him when he was at least a solid/not embarrassingly bad RT. Obviously they drafted O'Neill and that was really good so it didn't make sense to keep Remmers but they didn't get a whole lot for their money IMHO. If Reiff isn't playing LT he would be cut u less they literally can't find anyone decent to player guard...well..,um...lol
