Sorry, but I am not sure if paying Rush 3.5 Million is good or bad news. Some of his advanced stats make him out to be terrible. DRPM, RPM, D-Rating, BPM are all bad or terrible. I do know he's had injury problems in the past and he plays mostly in garbage time, so I hope his numbers are skewed. He can shoot 3s at 40% clip and some people claim he can defend, so I hope Thibs sees something there. He is the 14th guy now and he is on a one year, so if he is no better than Rudez, its not a big deal.

2. I would have much rather preferred Alan Anderson to Brandon Rush.
Why would you prefer Alan to Brandon?
I don't know, maybe it's overblown. Anderson didn't play a great deal of minutes. I am Ok with Rush, especially at one year.

We are getting a Kansas flavor: Wiggins, Aldrich and now Rush. How about we get McLemore now.

meh. nothing really to say.
He kind of struggled to stay part of the GSW rotation despite getting a chance to start early in the season. He basically only appeared in the playoffs over the past 2 seasons during blowouts.
I guess he's fine for a stopgap vet who won't be embarrassing if out on the court. To be fair, that alone should show that this team is better off than it used to be when it used to trot out guys not fit for NBA hoops.

I like Anderson a lot but Rush is the superior shooter by quite a bit.

After doing a little digging, it appears that Brandon Rush was once a 3 and D type player who suffered two ACL tears and is now pretty much a pure 3 point shooter. He lost his lateral quickness from the knee injuries and since his injuries, his defensive advanced stats have not been good..

Agree that we shouldn't get too excited about it, but the guy did play in 72 games, start 25 of them, and overall logged over 1,000 minutes on the greatest regular season team of all time. He must not be too bad.

There was a tweet a few days ago that mentioned how many games the Bulls won with Keith Bogans as a starting SG under Thibs. I think Rush will be plenty good for depth.

Yeah, doesn't seem like the greatest defender, but we really needed another shooter. I feel like Dunn and Aldrich were more defensive-oriented acquisitions, so they should help. We needed a shooter badly. If he were known as a great defender to boot, he'd cost us at least $10M per year.

What makes you think hes the last guy coming off the bench? Or did you mean we have 14 players now?
