Think of Luka Doncic and his career path in terms of his body. Do you think he gets serious about reshaping his body a la the way Kevin Love did, or do you think he is more likely to follow the Dennis Scott path, eat until you can't do the things you used to?

I don't think the issue is his marshmallow body...he's just not in that great of shape. He's always been a bit of a rusty gate on defense, but this year his defense was particularly poor!

I think that's what I mean. Is he going to take care of his body and get it in shape or not.

I was watching some video of Luka recently and I actually thought he looked a little slimmer than I remembered but I could be wrong. Still I agree with Cool that I wonder if he ever takes working on his body more seriously.

It's a solid comp but I think Kevin Love was actually an exception. He really went all in on getting his body in shape AND he has kept it up for many years.

It is so damn annoying every time I over over this thread and the first words that pop up are "Walker Kessler..." . Like throwing salt in an open wound!

Salt helps the healing process right?

But if Luka goes the Kevin Love route, he should avoid the knuckle pushups. :)

The other McDaniels had 24 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals and a block tonight in the Sixers win without Embiid, Harden or Harris playing. Those stats are way above Jalen's averages for the season or his career and I wouldn't expect to see that happen very often going forward. However, our own Jaden McDaniels has the talent to put up those sorts of numbers with come degree of regularity.

Meanwhile, the Suns are locked in a tight battle with the Lakes in the first half. Unfortunately, the Suns apparently decided this game wasn't important so they're sitting Durant, Ayton, Booker and Chris Paul while the Lakers play all their starters. That's a bummer for the Wolves' chances of jumping up to the 7th spot. The Pelicans already won tonight. So the Wolves will have to win their two remaining games to avoid finishing 9th and having to win two play-in games to make the playoffs.

The Mavs were eliminated from play-in contention tonight with a loss to the 39-42 Bulls in Dallas. Luka was 0-5 from behind the arc. Interesting to see Luka this season without Brunson. Maybe the Wolves can swap KAT for Luka - one loser for another. :)

I see Luka sat after the first quarter. Weird.

You know the guy I have wondered about this season without Brunson is...Jason Kidd. Mavs did have injuries this year but they had those last year too and were up and down before the trade. I gave Kidd props last year but that team seemed to be another somewhat disappointing one that didn't seem to be living up to their talent.
