I'll say this about trading for Giannis...and quite frankly a number of players...it seems like the price to acquire some guys just hasn't been that wildly high the past few months to a year. It just depends so much on what what team/s have to offer and what the other team wants back. Do the Bucks want to completely tear it down and start over or do they want some guys that are actually good now? Also what are they gonna do with their head coaching spot if they basically go young? This might be a good time to trade for Giannis even if there are some real concerns about his health etc.

The other question is what are the other options on the table in terms of other deals? What else would the Wolves get back in a deal for Giannis? I'm not really holding my breath either way and I probably say no depending on the price but it makes sense to try and find something that would work. The Wolves do have some young players that might have a little more value than we think. Heck sole teams might look at Garza and Minott having some success in Boston and think there is more to some of the young guys on our roster than they have been able to show. Maybe... Lol

And he isn't likely all of a sudden to play in more games going forward, he will probably play less. But in terms of his production, it's a little misleading. He is playing under 30 minutes per game this season, something that hasn't happened since his rookie year. I'm not sure the exact reasons why, but part of it could be that the Bucks aren't very good and he's playing less in the 4th quarter. But when I've watched him this year, he doesn't look like he's lost much to me. He still dominates on both ends and does things no one else his size can do. I know you are the ultimate organic growth guy and I prefer that too, but Giannis is still one of the top 5 talents in the league. However, I would stop short of dealing Jaden. If I couldn't do the deal without him in, I would look to make a splash elsewhere.
Cool - I’m sure you watched Giannis more than I have the past couple years and your point about minutes played is a good one. And as I noted, he’s still a great player. I’m with you in not giving up Jaden for Giannis. I think Jaden is on the cusp of becoming a star. He’s still improving his game and i also think Randle’s presence has impeded his production and development. I hope there’s another deal in the works that involves Randle but not Jaden or Naz. I don’t know what that deal would be but I don’t think a Giannis deal would make sense given what/who we’d likely have to give up to get him. I’d really love to get Tre Jones from the Bulls but I don’t see that happening.

A Gannis trade, while exciting, would be disappointing for one very obvious reason imo- it essentially punts the 25-26 season.

There is just no way to imagine a trade like this happening without the roster being hollowed out and needing at least one off-season to re-tool around the two superstar dynamic.

The Wolves top 6 are no worse than the 3rd best in the league for my money and it would just be a huge disservice to not play that out this season or, better yet, bring reinforcements off the bench

May be....depends on what other deals are cooking and what we get back besides Giannis. It's not like we're going to trade three or four guys and only get Giannis back. There could be other quality role players in the mix.

Also, Finch seems like he's at his wit's end when it comes to this current group. You could hear the exasperation and exhaustion from him after that Memphis loss. He may not believe this team has the mentality and focus to get to or past the WCF. Ant and Julius are the primary culprits and only one of them can be traded.

I agree with This sentiment but I guess you get Giannis when you can get Giannis

Milwaukee is punting on the season with or without Giannis.

And... more teams can get in the mix this summer to drive up the return. I don't expect him to be moved in the next 24 hours.

I read somewhere that Milwaukee thinks if they tank, and the commissioner gives them a high draft pick like Dallas got, they can convince Giannis to stay.

Has Giannis changed his mind and actually said he wants out? Last I heard he said he would never ask for a trade. I was under the impression that understandably the Bucks were taking offers and obviously they aren't gonna just dump him wherever. I don't think it will be hard to convince Giannis to stay unless this process has gotten him to a place where he is ready to leave. This kinda reminds me of KG.

Traditionally, its the team that trades a star that gets the 1st pick.
