a year ago we were dying to get Lonzo Ball. Now he's out there and I'll cringe if he's out there in a Wolves jersey

“We’re going to know if there’s a Giannis deal in the next 8 hours…. There’s a lot of moving parts here and I think there’s going to have to be a framework of a Giannis type trade by midnight.”

People wanted Lonzo? Dude's never been the same since the knee thing in Chicago. I wish him the best. It's tough to see injuries derail a guy's career.

Makes sense. Wolves will need to move on to smaller things at some point.

The luxury repeater tax is a bit misunderstood. The criteria is being in the luxury tax for 4 out of 5 years. So dipping out of the tax for one year might not save a team. They really need two years out of the luxury tax to get a reset...

Yeah. Injuries seem to have hit him hard.

Out for two seasons.

Shot 36.6% last season in 35 games.
Shot 30.1% this season in 35 games.

Granted, almost all of his shots are threes... but that also shows he lost any explosiveness he might have had.

I think I would pass on Giannis. He's gonna cost us Jaden and so much more. I would pivot to Kyrie.

Randle and Lenny and a couple 2nds for Kyrie. Mavs get younger. We get a chance at a chip.

Turn around and try to deal dillingham and scraps for Sexton. (This may not work now that I checked)

Kyrie
Ant
Jaden
Naz
Gobert

Sexton
Divo
Beringer

Couple minimum guys. Sexton can run point until Kyries ready. This would be a championship team.

A first from Orlando with Tyus, a first from team A for Rudy, a first from team B for Julius, Rob, TJ and Joan for Giannis and change.

A guy can dream.
You know who has worse stats this season than Mike Conley? Tyus Jones. What's up with him?

It's too bad he is (or was) a good basketball player when healthy and exactly what so many teams would need and a fantastic fit next to Edwards. But the guy he was at one point probably is gone. Idk if he is even a rotation player at this point. Some team will probably give him another shot because of his size and theoretical ability. I think there were a number of people here that were willing to take a gamble on him being healthy (if it took little to acquire him) and at least a solid backup combo guard. It's rough he got dumped.

He has a donated mcl transplant. That knee is completely cooked as it was bone on bone for awhile. No thanks.
