Cam - Seriously that guy looks legit. If he has strong workouts he looks very tempting. Long but not super skinny.

Guys I want for the Wolves:
- Brandon Ingram
- Jamal Murray
- Buddy Hield
- Grayson Allen

- Ben Simmons
- Jakob Poeltl
- Domantas Sabonis
- Marquese Chriss

Guys I do not want for the Wolves (doesn't mean I don't like them for somebody else):
- Jaylen Brown
- Kris Dunn
- Demetrius Jackson
- Wade Baldwin

- Dragan Bender
- Henry Ellenson
- Skal Labissiere
- Brice Johnson

Two guys that I couldn't really put in either list are Ivan Rabb and Denzel Valentine. I don't love them for us, but I don't hate them either. They're in that "I wish we could do better, but we could do a lot worse" group.

I'm watching Maryland vs Kansas and Jake Layman looks terrific. He looks like he has pretty quick feet and is making nice passes and it looks like he is a pretty good shooter. For a 2nd rounder...

Cam - Why have you soured on Dunn?

I think getting Lucas from KU in the second round would be a good pickup. 6'10 250 and he already plays within himself. He looks a lot like Tyson Chandler and he has an NBA pedigree.

I've soured on Dunn for us. I still like him as a prospect and think he'll do well in the NBA, but I hope it won't be for us. In order to get him, we'd have to use a top-five -- top-eight if we're being optimistic -- pick on him.

So, if I think he'll be a good NBA player, why don't I want him? Since January, Ricky Rubio has been fantastic.

10.7 PPG, 8.7 APG, 4.0 RPG, 1.9 SPG in 30.8 MPG.
40.6 FG%, 35.0 3P% (0.9 - 2.7), 86.1 FT% on 4.3 FTA.

That's 12.5 PPG, 10.2 APG, 4.7 RPG, 2.2 SPG Per-36 since January with pretty solid percentages. Add that to his defense and you have a player worthy of All-Star recognition. I'm drinking the Rubio kool-aid. I think it's sustainable. He's not doing a whole lot differently. What I've noticed is that he's taking and making more threes (2.7 vs career average of 2.0) and finishing at the rim more.

I just really don't want to draft a point guard that high up while still believing that I have an All-Star worthy point guard on my roster. I don't feel like that's the best use of that pick, especially when there's several prospects closely ranked.

Not to burst your crazy bubble but if Lillard hasn't been an all star Rubio will never be. He's NOT an all star!

Lillard was an All-Star in 2014 and 2015... Take your troll efforts elsewhere.

Guys I want for the Wolves and I'll have a big KAT size grin on if we pick them:

Ingram
Simmons
Bender
Hield
McCaw
Payton (late first or second)
Valentine (in the 20s)

Guys I'd be ok with but not overly thrilled with:

Dunn
Poeltl
Brown
Labissiere
Ivan Robb (late teens)
Brice Johnson (in 20s)
Sabonis (in 20s)
Grayson Allen (late 20s)
Morris (2nd round)

Guys I'll vomit if we draft

Jamal Murray
Henry Ellenson
DeJounte Murray

You've been talking about Valentine like he's a top-eight player for weeks, maybe even months. Now he's in the 20's? Earlier this month, you said:

First choice is Ingram, Second is Simmons, Third to Seventh are Bender, Brown, Dunn, Hield and Poeltl but I'm not sure in what order yet and there are variables between now and the draft where I think separation will occur. The next guys I like are Valentine and Skal. If McCaw came out he'd be among my lottery picks. I don't like Murray or Ellenson much at all. Baldwin is intriguing. Davis is intriguing. Payton is intriguing.

I can even remember you telling me that I was sleeping on Valentine, but I've said he was a lottery guy, fringe top-10 guy since the very beginning of the season. How did Valentine drop about 10 or more spots for you in just a couple weeks? This is an example of the type of inconsistencies that are hard for me to understand.
