Man I'm on a roll today in this thread... I was under the impression he started more games than that. Thanks for clarifying.

I didn't think Crabbe was gonna get that type of money but I think there is a chance he ends up being a legit 2 way starting wing in this league that can hit outside shots and he can do more than just dribble his way out of a paper bag. If that happens he is worth most of that contract and possibly all of it. The Nets are in a place they have to take some calculated risks.

Sure I do. I read a couple places he liked playing for the Lakers and liked working with the young kids.

I like the Volans approach which is to keep that spot open for now. Let's see if either someone from the SL roster impresses (here's lookin' at you Coty Clarke) or maintain flexibility in the event someone else frees up somewhere that could be valuable.

The Nets are in a place where they have to hope for a miracle. Things are very very bleak there... and this has been on the horizon for quite some time.

I tend to agree unless we are able to land someone pretty good for a nice contract either a multi year deal or a short term one. Jordon Hill is the level of talent I would be more interested in filling that spot with or maybe Acy (younger with a little upside versatile and longer term cheap deal) but a Bass type I think I might see what else would come along. It seems like the Wolves are putting flexibility as a big factor going forward. Not THE factor but being very conscience of it.

Anyone know if we can Amnesty Pek next year?
Huh!?!?!?!
We can't. David Kahn wasted our one amnesty in Darko to make cap space for Brandon Roy and Batum! So we're still haunted by Mr. Kahn.
Thought I heard there was something available in 2017, but maybe it was all talk.
They're gonna re-negotiate the CBA in 2017 so there will probably be another amnesty clause for deals made under this CBA.
Let me just say this to everyone, not just Kahns:
I think this CBA negotiation is going to go smoother than people predict. Which means there might not be any big "treats", like an amnesty buyout.
Drawn-out labor issues are generally because one side is upset. I'm just not seeing which side is upset. Don't get me wrong. 12 months is a long time, and no one is absolutely certain what will happen with the "Brexit", and if a couple of owners get a stick in the rectum Adam Silver is not the guy who will tell them to shut their pieholes, but I just see it going well.

Yeah, sorry BW. I'm guessing Monster and I were confusing Alexander with another underperforming KU PF who's been linked to the Wolves...Thomas Robinson
Thank god. If Cliff Robinson was still playing then none of us have an excuse for not going to the gym.

I think for the sake of roster balance it has to be a wing.

Kosta Koufos, Ben McLemore and, of course, Rudy Gay are three Sacramento Kings available via trade, according to league sources

Koufus is a bargain I would hope for their own sake they aren't just giving him away. I'd love to get him here although we would be really stacked at C.
Ben Mac is a Kansas guy!!! We gotta get him!! In all seriousness to take a flyer on him for nothing sure. I would think the Kings may be able to at least get a 2nd rounder for him or something.
Gay well the guy is a good basketball player but I'm not a fan of his game in general. Every time he leaves a team they get better. That's not all on him and in theory he would bring some of the stuff we wanted to get from Deng. I'd prefer to pass considering the uncertainly of his player option for next season.
