Yeah, good night for us. I still think we are vulnerable to losing the 4th seed. We still have multiple games with some top teams (including Houston a bunch of times). At this point, I'm hoping we just hang around .500-ish the rest of the way and end the season with around 46-48 wins. That would be just above my estimate for the year and definitely get us into the playoffs.

Also Donovan Mitchell went for 40 and is averaging almost 20ppg as a rookie. That's an example of why you keep picks. Meanwhile the Bulls held out for a 1st round pick for Mirotic but credit the Pels held out for a 2nd coming back from the Bulls which is their own 2nd they traded to get off Quincey Pondexter who I believe was waived to make this deal happen) just a few months ago.

Very happy that trade went through for the Pelicans, like I said Mirotic probably keeps them afloat this year and they can possibly still compete for the playoffs, but what are they now, they have no cap space, they have to pay Cousins coming off a major injury and now will have 3 straight years where they don't have a rookie on there team. Like Mirotic is solid but it does not make them closer to being able to seriously contend and I am so happy they wont be able to add young talent. I am mean just think if they could draft a player like Mitchell, and how scary they would be. But they keep putting themself in a corner of average at best

LOL, Rubio leading all scorers with 16 points at the half in the Utah/Memphis game. Has 7 boards and 3 steals to boot, but only one assist. Bizarre. Love it though!

AD is the new KG, and the Pelicans are the new Wolves. It's going to take a miracle for them to pull off a couple trades and make a couple year run before AD tires of losing, much like the Wolves getting Cassell and Sprewell. So far it's not looking good for them.

Isaiah Thomas for Clarkson and Nance. Poor guy. I've never felt so bad for a player.

I am also wondering if this LA deal is a wink wink agreement that will lead to a sign and trade of James next summer. If this ends up happening the Lakers need more than a 500,000$ fine. Cleveland just did LA a favor to give them the cap room to sign their star player. Strange.

Damn. As if the short SOB wasn't already bitter and surly enough...

[Note: For another angle... Andrew Wiggins will make more money NEXT season than Isaiah Thomas has made for his entire career, even though the guy (1) made 2 ASGs. Averaged 29 ppg. Made an All NBA team. And led his team to the ECF.]

Rodney Hood - 17 ppg / 39% 3fg
George Hill - 10 ppg / 45% 3fg
Jordan Clarkson - 15 ppg / 32% 3fg
Larry Nance - 9 ppg / 7 reb / 60% fg

vs.

D. Wade - 11 ppg / 33% 3fg
C. Frye - 5 ppg / 33% 3fg
D. Rose - 10 ppg / 25% 3fg
I. Thomas - 15 ppg / 25% 3fg / horrific defense
J. Crowder - 9 ppg / 3 reb / 33% 3fg

***PLUS***

You know the Cavs are going to be one of the very first destinations for what's expected to be a very good crop of player buyouts. And the only thing they've lost of value so far is a 20-something draft pick. Nice job.
