Heck of a game for him and he had 2 pretty good defensive fielding plays as well.

That Colon guy just keeps on going.

I was pleased faye the earlier news that Polonco was already able to at least DH in the minors. If Buxton can get back healthy and then not be completely lost at the plate it would be a nice upgrade. Lamarre has been what about a replacement level guy? Buxton doesn't have to do much with the bat to be better than that because of his defense. It would be nice to get a boost from a couple of these young players coming back.

Well I held out hope as long as I could and after tonight I'm declaring the season over in regards to post season. What a disappointment it's been and while some players that were healthy didn't perform well enough really the reason why the Twins are where they are is injury suspensions and poor play as a team espcially poor defensive plays and base running errors etc. it's tough though when you are down your best starting pitcher from the previous season starting 3rd basemen CF SS plus other smaller injuries along the way.

A couple nice wins here to cheer us up. Jake cave with a couple nice defensive plays as well. The bat has come alive a bit for him too.

Speaking of bats Garver has gotten on a roll lately which is good to see. Wilson...has dropped off the map. Astudillo Hasn't even gotten behind the plate yet but his "get them before they get you" as Molitor called it seems to be working at the plate.

Jake Cave with another outstanding catch in CF and Wilson got a couple hits. The Twins with a nice little run here lately. A 3 game losing streak is probably around the corner. Lol

Twins with a 4 game sweep of the Orioles and now 9.5 games behind Cleveland. I do think this team actually has enough to go on a run to get back in it (even without Sanonand Burton) but it's asking a lot to get everyone hitting at the same time. The offense was a HUGE part of why they made the playoffs last year. Ugh I'm getting my hopes up and the Twins are looking to sell like they should. Oh well. :)

Twins get their 5th win in a row and Cleveland lost again. For all the bad stuff that has happened this year one of the BIGGEST positives is it looks like Berrios has taken that step and looks like heat be a legit ace which this team hasn't had in years and sorely needed.

Gibson with a gem last night which is even more impressive after all the rain delays. It seems starters are more likely to struggle.

Mejia with a solid start and then Berrios with another ace performance combined with the Twins figuring out what to do with those specifically shaped wooden sticks for a couple wins in a row and gaining some ground on Cleveland. What will we get out of Santana today?
