I agree, cam, that Martin gets the game ball tonight. While there were several terrific performances...Rubio, Gorgui and Wiggins, to name three...they were also somewhat uneven. Martin was consistently great on both ends of the court. His three pointer wasn't falling (1 for 6), so instead he went to his drive, shoot and draw (fouls) game. As he said after the game, he's a scorer, not just a shooter.

Last night's game also highlighted the biggest frustration I have with Kevin. His outstanding defense on Green last night reminded me that he has the ability to be a very good defender, as long as he wants to be. The problem is he generally doesn't show the consistent effort on D that he showed last night. He's still a valuable piece for us even on nights where his defense is subpar(most nights unfortunately), but when he brings the D also, he is a borderline All-Star.

I think we saw more emotion from Pek than we've seen ever. KG effect?

Agreed and I definitely think the jabs were all in fun and not to be taken seriously. ;)

Yeah my comments were meant in jest, this board has gotten strung a Lil too tight lately.
I'm thrilled with Rickys play since his return and I look forward to him continuing to prove me wrong. He really has made me reconsider what makes a pg valuable.. Do I wish he had more of an arsenal offensively? Of course. But I see now that this team plays with more confidence and continuity with him on the floor and my hope is that with the addition of KG this team can play a more focused ,selfless brand of basketball.
I think between the two we'll see more of the potential some of these guys have.. It's to bad Shabazz won't be apart of it this year. I think he shares KGs intensity.

LST, actually Thad played for Brooklyn in last Friday. Got 8 points and 4 rebounds in 12 minutes. He was -13 so maybe he cannot be credited too much about Brooklyn win.

Hmm...not sure how I missed that. Thx Mikkeman. I'm pulling for Thad in Brooklyn, so it was good to see him get the 4 boards in just 12 minutes. I'm hoping this trade works out well for both teams.

But you know, Thad playing in Friday's game makes me question KG skipping his first two games with the Wolves even more. I wonder what his reasoning is.

He's old and we aren't playing for anything right now. I don't get why it is so baffling that a 38 year old is taking his time to get on the court for a 12 win team.

I think Thad was almost only player that was traded during all star break that played already on Friday. Dragic, Knight, Afflalo or Jackson were not playing either yet on Friday even though you would think that those players are so good that they should be able to play right away. I hope that KG would be playing today in Houston.

I'm also pulling for Thad in Brooklyn. He is maybe better fit playing next to Plumlee and Lopez than playing next to Dieng and Pek. Since Teletovic won't probably play anymore in this season and KG was traded for Thad, he will probably get big minutes in Brooklyn. I expect that he starts already today.
