I only caught the 4th and was nearly on the brink of turning it off but something made me stick around. I'm very pleased I did. What a final two minutes by Rubio, seeing his performance makes me feel a lot better about the contract we just gave him. Clutch 3 and clutch free throws after his ankle went numb. Gutsy performance and much appreciated

I knew once Ricky did a Willis Reed impression that the Wolves were going to win this one. Watching Ricky start his new career trajectory is a beautiful thing and what so many of us dreamed of when the Wolves were able to draft him. Screw ping pong balls. I want the Wolves to win win win!

Missed the game too, but just watched espn's 10 seconds of highlights on sports center. Nice close Rubio!

The sad thing is I was wide open the entire quarter, and f'ing Mo wouldn't get me the ball. I'm tired of this crap. Get me the ball, or I'm opting out!

I liked Thad's effort on D last night...but in all fairness there was another guy who played Zach tough for 17 minutes also. Nice effort by our PF's last night. Who would have predicted a 43-30 advantage on the boards against the rugged Griz.

What a terrific game, guys...very remindful of the exciting, optimistic way we felt the first week of the season. Hmm...can't quite put my finger on why we have our mojo back again. This Memphis game was much like the season opener, but this time we won a close one rather than losing. I take a lot from playing two dead-even games (with Rubio) against an elite team like Memphis.

We did it despite an off night from our best scorer Kevin Martin. Several guys played well (all of our starters except Martin had 6 baskets...great balance), but this one was all about Ricky. As others have said, he just willed us to win this one. Flip said post-game that Ricky was saying in the huddle that we weren't going to lose this game, and he followed through...that's leadership. I'm guessing most of you had the same sick feeling in your stomach when he limped into the locker room...I didn't think he was coming back. But he did come back (a la Willis Reed, even though Flip said it as not Reed-like and Thad didn't understand the reference...come on, Thad!). Odd that he got 5 assists in the first 7 minutes and then none the rest of the game, but I don't think anyone here has any complaints about how he played. His made threes were actual jump shots, rather than the set shot he used to favor...did you guys notice that? Shows me how confident he is in his jumper now. I loved the camera man cutting away occasionally to a very smug, bow-tied Mike Penberthy...the guy is a genius, and deserves a bonus!

Pleas stay healthy, Ricky. If you do, the rest of this season is going to be exciting, and there will an extraordinary buzz going into next season. Our schedule is tough the rest of the way, so even playing like we did tonight, I don't see us passing any more than 3-4 teams, so there well still be a nice asset to add in the draft. I'm curious to see how we play against the red-hot Hawks Monday night. Flip says he likely won't play Ricky BTB, so I hope he sits him against the Pistons Sunday and plays him against Atlanta.

Rubio and Wiggins are two huge building blocks.

Agree, you kind of feel like you can pencil them in at the starting PG and one of the wing slots for the next 5-10 years. Wiggins obviously needs to keep getting better, but it's hard to see that not happening given his age.

The other wing slot, PF, and C are a little less certain. Pekovic, Martin, and Young all feel like placeholders - albeit fairly decent ones. Dieng hasn't convinced me that he has the chops to be a starting Center in this league. Shabazz might be able to fill that other wing slot, but I need to see more development in his all-around game. And LaVine and AB haven't proven anything other than they aren't ready for regular NBA minutes yet.

So we have a loooooong ways to go in my opinion, but it's nice to have a a couple of pillars established. Please stay healthy!

Yes we are. I think we should trade both Young and Martin. We also have most likely a top 5 pick. I really want Russell or Johnson.

It's nice seeing what a healthy team(minus Bazz) is capable of against a strong Western opponent. I think Mo is the only guy we should be trading. Martin's contract is good, Thad is playing better. Granted it's only one game, but perhaps our weaknesses aren't as glaring as others on this board would suggest?

No game report? No Cool's 2+1?
