I can't recall the last game where we shot more ft's than our opponent.
Keep talking

Just love the way Finch talks in his post game press conference. Feels like we have a legit NBA coach.
Also props to Hernangomez, been very solid these last 2 games

Ant is saying his hip is really painful after the game.
I would not be shocked if he misses the game on Tuesday

I always love when the Wolves best the Blazers just because of that Blazers fan back on the ESPN board, I do miss that back and forth

Vanderbilt should have got more playing time. You think they are trying to build up Hernangomez trade value by giving him more playing time? Or just trying things out with the large lineup that had KAT, NAZ, Hernangomez, Josh & Nowell, they did use that lineup more than once tonight.

The reason is Vando is strictly a 4. You cant play him at the 3 because he gives you zero skills on offense as a wing and cant shoot. Both Mcdaniels and Juancho are at least a threat to shoot the 3.
Finch is also playing Towns big minites and playing Naz next to him.
It also depends on matchups as roco isn't a threat on offense for Vanderbilt to focus on. On the flip side, Roco is very good at roaming and help and team defense and having Vando as his matchup allows roco to play to his strength on defense.
I think Flinch is using Vando very well actually.

Good points on Roco's strengths and how they may have played a role. It just seemed to me that V8 was great and deserved a bit more burn. Guess Hernangomez got the call due to wanting to space the floor more. Slightly have in my mind that they are show casing Hernangomez and would like to deal him.

V8 is simply not a full time starting-caliber PF yet. For example, do you want a guy that is turnover prone, unreliable free thrower, and total non-shooter in there in the 4th quarter of a tight game? Even Okogie offers more since at least he makes his FTs.
However, does his energy and effort really help during less critical phases of the game? Absolutely. He's a guy you love on the roster, but not someone that can be trusted in critical situations. We will almost never see him play down the stretch in tight games.

All fair points, I am just blinded by the non-stop motor and if he is playing well in a game I just want to see as much of him as possible on the court. That energy and effort really impacts the game IMO.

I don't think Vandy will ever be a starter type on a contending team. I like him on my team but in a limited role. His lack of shooting, dribbling, and offensive skill in general are concerns.
I'd include him in a Collins package with either Beas or Culver.
