Nothing huge. Apparently their are multiple expressions of interest from various parties. Sounds like it is almost impossible to actually restrict any purchaser from moving the team. In my mind this means either Taylor sells at a reduced price to the person guaranteed to keep the team in Minnesota (the KG group), or he will take the money and have the higher risk of someone moving the team.

The best part is when most NBA fans dismiss it as...

"Well, look at those attendance numbers, those fans didn't deserve a team."
"Who cares about Minnesota, it's cold there anyway!"
"The team sucked, they deserved to move."

The last one gets me the most. Like the fans haven't suffered from bad ownership enough... it's like a double whammy of excusing all the poor front office decisions and slapping the fans in the face at the same time.

Yup. The ole having your cake and eating it too for the owners. As if historically awful performance shouldn't correlate to bad attendance.

Although, I do believe there is something in the culture of Minnesota that does make it unique from other sports towns where many Minnesotans genuinely feel they have better things to think about, talk about, and do then obsess over sports. It's been a phenomenon for years where you turn on sports radio in Minneapolis and may be lucky to catch a conversation about sports. How much that accounts for poor attendance may remain to be seen. But I do think that fans like all of us here who endured the post KG to Kevin Love eras of Wolves basketball and remained fans for some crazy reason are an exception to the normal Minnesota sports fan.

1. Don't the Wolves still own the league's attendance record?
2. Wild had 409 consecutive sellouts... 3rd most in history.
3. The Vikings have sold out every game at US Bank. I believe the worst they've done since 2008 is 94% capacity, despite playing at two different poor venues in the interim.

I'm not buying the Twin Cities won't support pro teams take.

The reason the GOV wants to ban guns is they want people dependent on GOV, irresponsible and poor. No threat to the GOV power.

I have no proof but I suspect many of these riots were started by the same people who want to ban guns, increase the police state, expand GOV's power over the population. It's called a false flag. Shoot down your own ship so you can start a war with another country. Operation Northwoods was one proposed false flag under Kennedy by the DoD. The plan was to shoot down an American passenger jet and blame it on Cuba. In order to start a war with Cuba.

Here is a snippet from Wiki-

Operation Northwoods was a proposed false flag operation against the Cuban government that originated within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) of the United States government in 1962. The proposals called for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or other U.S. government operatives to both stage and actually commit acts of terrorism against American military and civilian targets,[2] blaming them on the Cuban government, and using it to justify a war against Cuba. The possibilities detailed in the document included the possible assassination of Cuban immigrants, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas,[2] hijacking planes to be shot down or given the appearance of being shot down,[2] blowing up a U.S. ship, and orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities.[3] The proposals were rejected by President John F. Kennedy.[4][5][6]

Fidel Castro had taken power in Cuba in 1959 and began allowing communists into the new Cuban government, nationalizing US businesses and improving relations with the Soviet Union, arousing the concern of the U.S. military due to the Cold War. The operation proposed creating public support for a war against Cuba by blaming it for terrorist acts that would actually be perpetrated by the U.S. Government.[1] To this end, Operation Northwoods proposals recommended hijackings and bombings followed by the introduction of phony evidence that would implicate the Cuban government. It stated:

That's for clarifying. What about people with mental disorders? What about people with disabilities that would not be physically about to protect themselves with a weapon? Wouldn't that make them even more vulnerable than they already are?

I wouldn't restrict people with mental disorders, because if we went that route, anyone can be considered mentally ill. You post Trump sucks, boom now you are red flagged and mentally ill. "People with physical disabilities" - Having more people carrying guns will make them safer. Because potential robber won't know if they have a weapon or not. The US already has 350+ million guns. It's not like it's hard at all for any criminals that want to rob people to get guns. We need guns easily accessible for the avg person to carry and conceal to make the streets safer for all, even if you choose not to.

Ok. A couple more questions. So what about the 12 year old kid that clearly can't have a gun? What about the 37 year old quadriplegic in a wheel chair?

So what about them? You think if more people are carrying guns that the 12 year old is in more danger or less? Actually it would be less since 99% of people are really morally good and if something was to happen to the 12 year old good people would step in and act.

99% of people are morally good? I was not prepared for that level of optimism about the human condition.

Idk about you but there is plenty of times I'm out and about there is nobody around. I can see plenty of opportunities where there simply would be no good people there to step in and protect that child or others currently most vulnerable and by suggesting everyone has a gun before them they are now an even easier target than before.

If they are that helpless they can be abducted just as easily with a knife. Yes I do think that 99% of people really do want to do the right thing. They might speed or break a seatbelt law or something silly, but going from that to robbing and killing people is a FAR different level. They could do that now if they really wanted to! Really just carrying a gun isn't going to make them go nuts! lol

It seems like I hear read maybe even have said whatever market has this unique aspect to explain why fans do or don't attend. Miami does have real fans cause it's Miami. Minnesota has other things to do. Like Abe I'm not really buying it.

Sure it's an older generation (Regardless a fun story) but a few years we went to go visit my wife's grandmother who was in a facility for elder care. We walked down the hall from her room to Visit one of her friends who no joke didn't look a day over 70. She was 103. Anyway over half the rooms had the Twins on. Grandma and her friend chatted about the game before her friend called her son and also talked to him about the game...it struck us that he was likely in his 70's!

What's attendance like at Gophers games when they are reasonably competitive?

WolvesFan, I see conflict in your two premises:

Premise A - The government and media are not good and don't serve my interests.

Premise B - 99% of people are morally good.

Since people populate the government and media, aren't 99% of them morally good and trying to serve your interest?

That 1%. I don't think more then 1% of people are rioting, burning down buildings and stealing do you? It's probably much less even. 350 million people in the US. 1% is 3.5 million people. That's a lot of people still. We can argue over the small numbers but I do feel the vast majority of people want what is best for humanity. No doubt their own self interests come into play too. That's why I am posting what I am. I need to expose the GOV for what it is. Corrupt and tyrannical. It all starts with the monetary system. Sorry to go off topic but this stuff is fairly easy to explain.

The Federal Reserve is a private bank owned by a select few individuals. They call it the Federal Reserve to make people think GOV is in control of the money system.

Woodrow Wilson signed the 1913 Federal Reserve Act. A few years later he wrote: "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." -Woodrow Wilson

"Money is a new form of slavery, and distinguishable from the old simply by the fact that it is impersonal - that there is no human relation between master and slave." Leo Tolstoy, Russian writer.

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and money system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motor Company.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks...will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." - Thomas Jefferson in the debate over the Re-charter of the Bank Bill (1809)

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies." -Thomas Jefferson

"... The modern theory of the perpetuation of debt has drenched the earth with blood, and crushed its inhabitants under burdens ever accumulating." -Thomas Jefferson

"History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and its issuance." -James Madison

"Presidents are selected, not elected." -FDR

I see the potential hypocrisy, but really only a select few people need to be "in on it." As long as most people are not in the know they will win.

Yes greed, money and ego serve to make many people do evil things. Ever heard money is the root of all evil.

What do these anchors of FOX, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, etc make? MILLIONS of dollars. They know they are full of shit but do so because what is their option? The vast majority of wealth is concentrated by the 1%. Many will lie and cheat to make themselves richer. Then call it business.

In this video George Bush admits to the reporter that the GOV is controlling the News and that it is nothing new! The news has been controlled by the GOV/CIA for a long time. They admit it.
