They adjusted and we didn't. Let's go back to 5 high on offense and switching everything we can on D.

That was very good and then very bad. Basically a microcosm of the season in a sense.
I like the effort but we need to make better decisions.
We're often called a "young" team when these things happen, but what about Memphis!? They have a rookie playing key minutes in their rotation along with a bunch of other guys with less than 5 years in the league. They keep their composure and defend as well as any veteran team in the league.

Once we get up on a team it's like clockwork that the energy and effort will drop. Like Barkley said, we are just dumb as hell. Kat driving into the lane to get to the rim and kick it out? Then the very next play he charges into the lane recklessly to get a charge. We are so talented, but just so damn stupid.

As much as the commentators were saying Memphis D stepped up in the 2nd Q, it was more our Offense taking a massive step backwards. Stagnant, zero ball movement and poor decision making on offense.
Ants taken 5 shots, 4 of them behind the arc. Him attacking the hoop changes everything and opens our offense up.

And while KAT is an easy target here, I thought Ant took at least one ill-advised quick 3 that clanked off the rim.
When you have a 25+ point lead and all the momentum on your side, it's OK to slow the game down a bit and work good sets.
