No kidding, can't wait to read how he messed this one up but we won in spite of him.
Wiggins made the correct passes and plays including the last one to rubio for the open corner 3 that rubio clank. You wont hear others talking about the miss shots by his team mates. Only that wiggins initiating the offense leads to losses.
I just can't believe there is angst about Wiggins initiating the offense tonight. I can't remember a single time where we didn't get what we were looking for, either points or at minimum a good look. I'm sure Lip's game report will offer similar stupidity.
Wig had a nice game tonight, cool, but include me in the group that just doesn't get why Thibs wants him at the top of the key with the ball in his hands at crunch time...it's a flawed strategy. As world said, Wig made the correct pass to an open Rubio in the corner, but that's the problem. Does Thibs really want the guy with 2 assists and 26 points making the pass, and the guy with 8 points and 12 assists taking the shot? Reverse those roles and put his two players in a better position to succeed!

LST, I can't take the ball out of Wig's hands because he has a teammate without an NBA jump shot.

I fully understand why Thibs (and in the past, Flip and Mitchell) is making him do that, but I just don't think he has the chops to do it successfully. Let LaVine be that guy. Oh, wait, we can't because then we wouldn't have a knockdown shooter to kick the ball out to.
Fuck you, it has either resulted in points or a good shot every single time tonight. Fucking bullshit
Wow, seriously?

You can take the ball out of his hands for much more than that (falling into isos, decision making, dribbling). Just let Ricky QB the team late. Otherwise, why does Thibodeau have a PG, let alone 4 of them?

That's fine but when the defense adjusts and Ricky is forced to jack up a 20 footer as the shot clock is running out, how effective will that be? Trust me an NBA coach is going to be able to force us into that. Thibs isn't doing this because he wants to lose.

After writing my game report, I decided to browse this thread. Wow! Reading Cool's posts you'd think we just lost in a blowout after which Glen Taylor announced that Wiggins was being unconditionally released. :).
We won the game!!!! Our big three played really well -- all three of them. They all scored the way they're capable of scoring and did other things as well. We scored 115 points even though -- shocker -- Ricky shot 1 for 5 from the field. This is how the Wolves will win and, as we saw late last season, they are fully capable of winning a lot of games. Ricky gets 12 assists and hits his free throws. Our big three score and contribute in other areas. Dunn plays stellar defense and hits some big shots off the bench. Bazz or Belly puts puts points on the board while most of our key starters rest.

Am I the only one who bursts out laughing every time the opposing team gets a technical or defensive 3 seconds and Rubio is the default choice to shoot the free throws???
Who would ever guess that someone so good at shooting frees would be so terrible at shooting overall?!?

Yup, my guess is they have him take them for two reasons: 1) He's good at them, and 2) it's a confidence booster. I think #2 sounds good in theory, but we know that in reality him making a free throw or two has zero impact on his jumper. It's always an adventure....

Very nice. Lose your temper with one poster and then insult one of our most valued and loyal members of the board who has never personally attacked anyone. Grow up and act your age or step away for a while to regain some perspective.
