I get that, but do you want a "work in progress" as our starting PG when we are still in the playoff hunt? I love Dunn, think he has a good future. But man, games like this.....just ugh. May be when he starts there is enough other competence out there on the floor it sort of works out. Then Jones can calmly run the second unit. I don't know.....

I'm ok with it to tell you the truth, because what a boost if they can do it with the kids. I haven't seen a huge drop off in offense without Ricky in spite of his great play as of late. The reality is Ricky won't get us that much anyway. I'm fine either way. As I've said I think the smart play is moving him for cap space and putting effort into Patty Mills. But that's probably a pipe dream. Ricky's not getting us an upgrade right now, and do we want to get rid of Bazz. All good problems to have I guess. Winning cures everything.

Yeah that 14-10 guy sucks! =)

Heh, I know it pains Duke to watch Rubio play well. He's actually been playing solid basketball for a few weeks now. The good thing is that it increases his value both to us AND other teams. It's all good.

That being said, you watch a game like this where Rubio played fairly well and Dunn looked like a train wreck.....man, I just don't know if you move Rubio for just an expiring contract or pick. We're in a damn playoff race here!

We are in a playoff race how am I supposed to react it has been awhile

It won't happen Q but if a team offered a 1st round pick for Rubio I would do the deal pretty quickly. I've said it for a long time I don't see him being moved because they aren't just going to give him away. I don't see any team offering up anything of value worth making a move as you have pointed out he has worth to this team. Honestly as I watch this last game I say keep the guy around. He could be part of this team for a while even if Dunn steps up. I'd feel better about having Rubio on the floor late when he gets fouled. If Tyus shows he can really play Thibs could play all these guys. Plenty fo team play small guards there is no reason the Wolves couldn't do it if they wanted to especially with Dunn's size and defensive ability...most likely. Basically the idea is trading Rubio for a rotation player. Rubio is a rotation player. just keep him. Sign or draft of find another rotation player.

Both Dunn and Rubio seem to have started being more aggressive especially looking for their shot. Its led to some poor stuff for Dunn, but I've also seen some good things there. Its more interesting than Dunn playing like he is Lorenzo Brown safe out there. I wonder about that travel tonight if Rubio messed up a bit because there was a little part of his brain he isn't used that said "Hey score" and he still passed. lol Remember Rubio is shooting almost 45% on his 2 point shots this year and he shot 50% overall tonight. =) It seems like Thibs is encouraging him to be more what Flip said he should do which was hit mid-range shots.
