Wig does really well when challenged and Thibs isn't giving him a chance tonight.
That's probably not by design, and instead more of Wiggins being a passive basketball player.
I guarantee you it's not.
It's impossible to say for sure when he's done it a lot through his career even against weak opponents. That much I know.
I've coached thousands of basketball games. It's plain as day what he's doing
No disrespect Coach CoolBreeze, but Andrew Wiggins just does this from time to time. He disengages, especially on nights when he doesn't have it all clicking. I'm not ready to give him that excuse when Thibodeau has repeatedly shown that he wants him to be our go-to guy. I think it's more logical that Thibs wants Wiggins to "get him" and "attack" as he often yells during games than to assume he'd rather Wiggins be a decoy and stay out of plays.
I'm done arguing this point, sorry I questioned your coach. But what I saw is Wiggins missed a few shots and Thibs went away from him in the half court. We will never know for sure, but I definitely saw it myself.
Positive not, Dunn had his best game as a pro and has put together a nice stretch. He was excellent tonight. Bottom line is, Kat has been terrible all year. Tonight was another example, until you can get consistent play from him and Wig it's gonna be difficult to compete. Hard to explain his play, well actually it's not. The preseason hype went to his head.

Agree 100%. Tonight was Towns night and he folded.

He's simply not involving his teammates. And the funny thing is he did it very well last year.
We all expected to lose tonight so it comes down to taking shots at the players we don't like. Plain and simply Wig,towns, rubio, belly and bazz stinks tonight. Lavine, dieng, dunn and cole competed but we need good games from at least 3 of wig, towns, lavine and rubio to win and only 1 showed up.
I echo TeamRicky's comments. We can drunkenly stumble into 90+ points most nights because of the inherent offensive talent on this squad, even with frustrating nights by Wiggins and KAT. But the Spurs shot 53% from the field and 43% from 3.....on the road......in a back to back. Unacceptable!

Just wondering, but did Thibs use Wiggins as a decoy against Charlotte and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Nicolas Batum?
