I am pretty sure Cam was on the "lets all get along side" in this one tonight.

I picked GF, and Cool, I am hurt and offended by your thoughts. :furious:

My reason for taking GF is the lack of aggressiveness by Wig, and obviously he is finally starting to show that over the last two games. I disagree that he showed anything close to what I witnessed tonight. Wig, for the first time looked like a go to scorer.

Khans, I didn't make my decision based on four games. I made it based on the tenacity I have witnessed from GF over the last year.

Cam, as for the small sample size, there was that post on Stauskas a week or two ago after two games!

Q, youve been here long enough to know that this happens all the time here. Emotiins run high after a big win or loss. The guy/s who are on the receiving end will do the same when the shoe is on the other end without blinking an eye.

How on earth did you think we got a bleed is a bust thread? Lol.

Some here enjoy the back and forth and don't take things personally. This is sports, watch a game live and this pretty much hiw it goes. Some make things personal and that usually ruin the enjoyment.

If you want to criticize a bad game fine. Bringing up a who would you rather have because of four mediocre to bad games is different. Just take a breath and let em play. A 4 game slump is nothing in the grander scheme of a regular season. So stop worrying that quickly.

What's funny is that Cam didn't even start this thread AND he voted for Wiggins!

Lip started this thread and it was purely hypothetical. Everyone here answered it honestly and I have absolutely no problem with folks that took either position (I picked GF, but it was very close for me).

The problem is then after a game like tonight, someone takes the low road and bumps it as a way to throw it in the face of people that voted the opposite way he did. Fun times!

We bump it to show what he brings to the table closer to his peak than the valley everyone on here was worried about in the first 4 games. We bump it to show people how foolish it is to worry about someone after 4 games. If you want Giannis that's fine, but it's ridiculous to say you want Giannis because his first four games this year proved he was a better player than Wiggins. The jury is way out on that debate.

Who is "we"? And explain how I based my vote on only 4 games? Instead of celebrating the win with the rest of us, you decided to bump this hypothetical trade about two really high-potential talents. You da man Khans!

Cam on the other hand feel the need to defend his ' concerns about wig's first 4 games'. He even had time to research numbers on Wiggins first 4 games and post them during the game to try to back up his case!

World, I watched the game on my laptop tonight. I'm actually always a click or two away from researching some stats whether it's laptop or iPhone, and that doesn't change when the game is on. Why would it?

If you recall correctly, you told me I was embellishing the "Wiggins was settling" idea in my posts. I took it as you basically saying that I was throwing out bullshit to the board just to make a point, which I wasn't, and I decided to give you the numbers that supported my take. I really don't see why or how that was a bad move on my part.

I haven't said anything wrong here tonight, but you are making it your agenda to make me look like the bad guy. I've done so all on my own long ago, but not tonight. I'd really appreciate not being the villain on this occasion.

I voted no, I wouldn't trade Wiggins for Giannis. Even so nobody was saying Giannis was the better player because of the first four games of the year, they were saying they both have similar physical abilities, but Wiggins hasn't had the history suggesting an alpha dog future. NOBODY was coming to any conclusion based upon four games.

Yeah, I get that, it just sort of sucks after such a great win that it had to go down a rat hole.

SJM - Wiggins is 2 months younger than GA. GA came into the league as a younger player, so the 19 yr old rookie status is incorrect regardless of how they list it on BB ref or elsewhere.

Monster, just watch the games and you will see the difference. I am not saying Wiggins won't get there, but if I am deciding today I take GA. His skillset is just as good as Wiggins on the whole, but he looks to have taken the next step.

Long- Cool, we're comparing them right now. Giannis is averaging 21 a game this season.

Abe- I'm going with Giannis.

We talk about promise. And potential. The best way to judge that is in year-by-year progress. Giannis took a huge leap from Year 1 to Year 2. And (small sample size alert) he seems to have made another huge leap this season. That's all you can ask from these young, athletic, promising talents. Yes. Giannis has another year in the league. And THAT's why I'm choosing him.

He's proven he can improve from one season to the next.
Nothing against Wiggins... but he hasn't yet. It's the NBA. I want to keep my job. I'm going with the proverbial bird in the hand at this point.

Did I miss anyone? That's a lot of evidence of people accounting the 4 games from this year into their decision. Also the we is Cool and myself because we obviously starting this black hole tonight.

Your changing your focus Khans. You threw a fit because you stated that we were basing our decisions on the four games. Not "accounting the 4 games from this year into their decision". What fool wouldn't count the latest games into their process?

How do the bolded ones give any example of the 4 games at all??
