Wiggins has improved along the margins - some little things here and there - but to your point Lip, if he really improved as much as people hope he did, he wouldn't still be at league average PER and below league average WS/48 (he's never been at league average WS/48 at any point in his career).
It's a combination of wishful thinking and the fact that not as much is expected of him this year. I'm just hoping he's a DeRozan type of late bloomer. 35%+ from 3 and 75%+ from the free throw line kind of tips the scales of scoring efficiency into the positive. I gotta believe he gets there at some point, but he'll never be the all-around 2-way stud folks were originally hoping for.
