Price isn't shooter, but he would give a defensive option as our 3rd pg to compliment thus' offensive skill set.
Boy, McLemore just never did much did he? He's the perfect example of a highly touted prospect (picked 7th in the draft, which is fairly high for a shooting guard) that never improved. We always just assume these young lotto guys improve - many never do.
But he may be the only type of player we can go get right now.

He can do one thing rather well, and that's shoot as he has slightly improved every year up to 38.2% on near 3 a game(5.6 per 36) . Not a terrible option to split the left over 20-24 minutes with Rush. I thought we had an exception to use yet, in the 5-8.4mil ballpark, but someone here had posted that we do not?? I'm no cap/exception guru so someone else may be able to fill in here.
Otherwise, I'm just looking at minimum guys and McLemore would be a decent get for that on a guy who still may have slight room for improvement. Price and Rush are two vet min. guys that make sense to me.
I still am hopeful Bjelicia recovers, as I thought he played pretty well after the break last season. I'm hoping he improves enough to be our starter at the 4, but I will assume he won't be.
Teague/Wiggins/Butler/KAT (36 minutes per game each - for an even #)
Taj(24 min)
Dieng(28 min)
Belly (8 mins)
Tyus (12 mins)
Rush (16 mins)
Second bench wing (8 mins)
At least two of Wiggins/Butler/KAT/Teague are always on the floor.
End of the bench:
Price/McLemore/ Bazz? (not sure if that ship has sailed but I do prefer him)/Patton (likely d-league)/Aldrich

Can we package a deal of OKC pick and Aldrich for a shooter or 3 and D? I still feel Portland is going to be a place to get assets. leonard and Aminu both can hit the three.

I'd be in favor of signing Nick Young

What do we have to spend? I heard on ESPN it was a little over 3 mill, And if we let bazz walk its over 10 mill? And if we find a team to take cole it well be over 17 mill? This sound about right?

we had to let bazz go unrestricted just to get taj. Sitting with rough 3.8 million is what I'm seeing thrown around

Well, from a bench perspective, we really don't need any pure scorers like Bazz or shot creators and here is why....
Teague has been the #2 scorer on his team for the past few years (Indiana last year and Atlanta in the years before that). Butler was the #1 scorer for his team last season. Wig and KAT were the top two guys last year. So basically we have four guys on the roster that are established #1 or #2 options. From a rotation perspective, it is very easy to keep any two of those guys in the game at all times so that when the offense breaks down, we have someone to create a shot for us. Four guys!
We need two spot up wing shooters and a 3rd vet minimum PG to fill out the roster.

Are we in favor of attaching the new first round pick to Aldrich's deal to open up a good 10 million so the team can buy some shooting?
