That’s what I’ve been saying for a long time. He is so uniquely gifted with more untapped upside. I’ve been convinced for a long time that he would show more and shine if given a starting role with consistent minutes, clarity and the opportunity to play with and off the team’s best players.

What we’ve seen the past few games is that this team going forward is all about Ant, Jaden and Naz combining with a subgroup of our younger players, which I believe will ultimately be Dilly, TSJ and Clark. Add Donte and Gobert to the mix and the future looks really bright. If someone still think Randle makes sense for this team going forward with reality staring them right in the face I wouldn’t know what to tell them. If Randle walks and we don’t sign NAW we might get under the 1st apron, which would allow us to use the full MLE and sign a quality veteran backup big for next season.

Did you go tonight (if I remember right you were banged up), TC looked so much fun tonight.

If healthy in the playoffs. Naz should start. Donte, Randle, Naw and Clark should get rotation minutes off the bench and Dilly is an in case if emergency player in my opinion.

I don’t know how you go back to Randle in the lineup, even with Randle playing a lot before the injury.

Also massive props to Randle and Donte, the have been out for awhile now but their support of the players has been amazing

I’m out of town and wasn’t able to make the game tonight. Great to hear about the atmosphere and how much TC and the players are enjoying this recent surge. I really like Randle as a person. Donte too. So I’m happy but not surprised that they’re being so supportive of their teammates. It was great listening to Naz after the game talk about how he was pulling for Jaden to get 30. He referred to Jaden as his “best friend.” We know that Ant is close to both Naz and Jaden. There’s a special bond among those three and chemistry on the court is bound to flow from that personal connection as well as how well their playing styles and skill sets mesh. Clark, TSJ and Donte also have skills and playing styles that mesh well with Ant, Naz and Jaden. And so does NAW for that matter although I just don’t think it’s realistic to count on him being here long term.

But bottom line is that this is getting really fun.

Lip, "fun" is the way I would describe what's going on here too. Not only on the court, where we're getting a chance to see our new guys shine while grizzled vets like Jaden, Naz and NAW provide leadership. But also watching our injured 4 on the bench...so much joy from all 4 of them as they watch an undermanned team pick them up. I don't know if this was the most important win of the year, but it was the most fun win.

So 1-0 on the gauntlet...good start. Cleveland is next, and we will need to get at least Ant back to have much of a chance. I thought we could exploit the Cavs' lack of a good wing defender with Okoro out, but dammit, they went out and added Hunter. Oh well, let's see what we can do Monday.

I think his value might be 30 million, but I'm not sure if he's going to get offered it since few teams have cap space this summer. Brooklyn is one of the few teams with cap space that could make a run at him, and though they are a bad team he did grow up the area so he may look at that. Hopefully Brooklyn is focused on going after Kuminga which I feel like they are, or Brooklyn decides they aren't ready to go after a star player and hold onto that cap space for a future season when they might be better at competing.
